I spent a couple of weeks over at du, before getting booted. I have been in the belly of the beast and it is scary over there. I have never been exposed to thought patterns as convoluted as the ones that I witnessed there. The only thing that I could think of is "L-O-S-E-R-S", my G_D what a bunch of losers. Over here the left is pitied and toyed with. At du, we are HATED with a passion bordering on psychosis.

I can only take them in small doses. They were even gleeful at the death of the Pope, for all of Skinner's chiding. I can't imagine how they can come to some of the conclusions they do. I was a democrat once, not that long ago, but they are highly... no, dangerously delusional.
Glad you made it home okay, do you need a purple heart or a silver star or something, John Kerry has a few, and for doing far less than you.

I agree, the tone here is much more civil than DU. They foam at the mouth.

Well, I believe that it was a cumulative thing. There was the post about partial birth killings of babies. There was a story of two bubbas that were going to starve and dehydrate an ill dog to death. The final icing on the cake was when I flew in there face about HR 25, a fair tax resolution in the house.

well I notice that DU - a web forum dedicated to promoting the "Party of Inclusion" - isn't allowing new user registrations right now.
Guess they don't want anybody who disagrees with them posting?
hehehe - typical.

How many times did you have one of their oldtimers cornered with an "innocent" question just to have them retort " You just don't get it!" I love that.

Almost make you think crazy stuff like: dems don't want to defend their "ideas" in open debate because their opinions aren't based in reason and therefore can't be argued in a rational manner.
Or something kooky like that.

LOL... not today, it's raining. Odd - I hear that doesn't happen much in Seattle... Of course, since I'm in NH I wouldn't know.
