Hubby just got a call from a co-worker........first words out of his mouth were "You had to give ME all the service calls at Perdue the day after the old man died, didn't you.?"

Poor Eric, he has no clue what to expect when he gets there..........dancing in the aisles or crying in the beers.

Well, I copied off of Amadeus' homework. His "Lacrimosa" is only one of many Requiems going through my head today.
Years ago, my choir sang Rutter's Requiem and I carry that one with me by heart... this part especially today (I wish I could find the music online for you)

Out of the deep

Out of the deep have I called unto thee, O Lord:

Lord, hear my voice.

O let thine ears consider well:

the voice of my complaint.

If thou, Lord, wilt be extreme to mark what is done

amiss: O Lord, who may abide it?

For there is mercy with thee:

therefore shalt thou be feared.

I look for the Lord; my soul doth wait for him:

in his word is my trust.

My soil fleeth unto the Lord:

before the morning watch,

I say, before the morning watch.

O Israel, trust in the Lord,

for with the Lord there is mercy:

and with him is plenteous redemption.

And he shall redeem Israel: from all his sins.

Psalm 130

I will have to be excused from class till later-my customer called and she is at home with some money for me and I just finished printing her bill-good thing I don't have any materials to haul today, because they wouldn't fit in the Z and I'm not driving the Blazer today. No way in hell am I driving a high profile vehicle in this wind-back later...

Well, I guess spring has really arrived - hubby got out the tractor to mow down some of the clover around here. And now he is out by the barn checking to make sure all is well with the boat we are storing for our friend in Ohio.......

Hubby really wants to take that boat out.....his fingers are itching to put the fishing gear to work. last week he pulled it all out, oiled and cleaned them all up and put new line on them all.......boys and their toys.

It is with great lachrymosity that I must report my present actual job requires my full attention for the next few weeks. I'll try to participate, but I have some major projects that are demanding my time day and night.

Grief and loss,
hot, salty, and tearing at the heart,
lacrymose moanings
as we say farewell
to the holy
and the innocent.
Lord,
hear our prayer,
and let our cry come unto thee,
in the ashes of our sorrow.

For God's sake let us sit upon the ground,
And tell sad stories of missing grade books.

Lachrymose, get it?

Lachrymal Vase = "Small vase with a narrow neck, once believed to have been used to receive the tears of friends of the departed; found in tombs of ancient Rome."
