I Will Never Forgive Them For Terri. Never. (The hell with forgiveness and finding common ground.)

A very good Freeper has another thread going on right now, called "Let's End the Rancor." I started to respond, and realized...my RANCOR ain't going away any time soon. So....

NO! I will never forgive them.

I will never forgive the death cabal that forsook common decency and Judeo-Christian principles, and made a Never-give-in stand just to give those who embrace life grief, tension and tortured, sleepless nights.

We are still talking about forgiving your own enemies, not someone else's enemies.

I know it became popular under Bill Clinton to apologize for stuff you'd never done, but that doesn't make it right to do so! This is the contrapositive, and it's still morally wrong.

Ya know sumthin'?
I've dealt with lots of people like Terri, who had gobs of family that loved and cared for them. While sad, I never felt their lives were sorrowful. And all I felt for their families was tremendous admiration.

The ones that always broke MY heart were those that were just cognizant enough to know that NO one gave a rats-azz whether they lived or died.

THAT is the fate worse than death. Not being bed-bound or brain damaged or whatever.

That's really using Christian principles, isn't it? What a testimony. Thanks.

I can't forgive someone else's enemies, for I've nothing to forgive them.

The law and justice MUST be tempered by Mercy.

If you have no Mercy then you have no Justice.

The Judge was and is a merciless murderer. For him I have no forgiveness.

He can get that before the Throne, but he won't get it from me.

I do not forgive those who have killed the Innocent. I will not forgive those who assisted in her murder. Regardless of what the law says, to force a person to starve to death when that person is not dying otherwise, is nothing more than Murder and as far as I am concerned the people who have murdered her need to go to God themselves and appeal THEIR case to him.

It's not completely clear to me what you're saying, but if I had to guess, I'd say you're registering disapproval.

Okay. I forgive you. (Get it?)

Do us both a favor. Read Dennis Prager's essay, posted in post 86, please consider it, then get back to me. thank you.

God bless.

Greer ordered that Terri be disconnected from her feeding tube and that no attempts to feed or hydrate her by mouth may be made. In Florida, as I understand it, it is illegal to deny food or water to a person - and whether or not you believe that it was right for this judge to order the tube removed, he also denied her food and water through ingestion. By disallowing any attempt to help her survive, he certainly did exhibit his flair for judicial tyranny.

Greer also raised a finger in salute to a congressional subpoena of this woman. Even if you disagree with the issuance of that subpoena, his disregard for congress' power to compel testimony and preservation of evidence is clearly an abuse of judicial power. As far as I know, Greer didn't even have the cover of a federal judicial ruling allowing him to disregard the subpoena.

Whittemore disregarded the plain meaning of a federal law to preside over a procedural review of the case, rather than giving a de novo review of the facts, as was stipulated in the law. Even if you disagree with the law that was passed, this federal judge plainly failed to follow the law and therefore descended into the maelstrom of judicial tyranny.

If you can't forgive someone else's enemies then why should anyone get so overwhelmingly angry? I am not angry. I am very upset. If no one wanted a discussion of forgiveness then not mentioning forgiveness in the first place would have been good.

No, I guess you like seeing FR splintered into little camps where FReeper attacks FReeper day in and day out.

Everyone seems to have completely forgotten Ronald Reagan's 11th GOP Commandment.

Just damn.

If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

I can't believe all the pop psychology I hear on these boards. You are right on. Focused angered is what made this country what it was (not "is" after today) Great men do not worry about themselves before acting on what is right.

California Law Allows Euthanasia

Channel your feelings into something productive. There are laws which need to be removed from the books. And not just in Florida and California!

Expressing a focused, righteous anger is no attempt to "split FreeRepublic into two camps."

Don't overreact.

Romans 13: 1-4 King James Version

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Wow, you sound like an angry little boy who just had his corn flakes pissed in by an abusive father.

I guess you've never recited the Lord's Prayer...

"Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us."
