Ack! We're leaving tomorrow night for a ten-plus day visit to my folks down in Georgia. I have just now realized what this means:
No access to Free Republic!
I need your help, families. I need two FReepers to "set the table"--one for this Friday's thread (April 1, that should be fun) and one for the following Friday, April 7th. Here's where the fun begins: I'm going to let you folks decide on the substitutes, with one simple provision: Can you try to select a mom for one week and a dad for another?
Consider this an early Friday fun thread!

I requested it - I was having trouble paying attention to my real life (where everyone is so grumpy, and nobody listens to me ...) This will be good for me, in the long run. I imagine this is how some of you would feel giving up smoking ...
I understand....nearly 2 weeks ago I turned off the 24/7 TV/radio news cycle in this house.........I have found it has helped me get up and move away from the computer, and has drastically improved my temperment.
Interestingly enough...not smoking is very easy when I am not sitting in front of this monitor.

Thanks - I'm feeling the urge to order LOTS of books, though! Good thing the connection shuts off in a couple of minutes, or I'd blow a week's grocery money on the Complete Works of Thomas Sowell.

Since no one else has volunteered and Tax-chick is otherwise occupied - I guess I'll accept the challenge and see what I can do.
But...........I won't be able to control the manners at the table after about noon eastern time, until about 4pm. Those 4 hours are hubby and my "date tim" and he gets very testy when my FReeping gets in the way.....hee hee.
