As many on FR know I happen to work for a Florida newspaper and have scooped out some stories weeks in advance. Well info has come along that Michael Schiavo is in talks with believe it or not an agent to handle media matters relating to his selling the rights to the story that is currently raking in massive numbers for cable news...his wife Terri's starvation.
The story is coming together but remember where you heard it first. Michael is already having to field offers between 1-2 million dollars for TV and Film and 1-2 million for book rights.
There is quiet bidding going on behind the scenes....stay tuned...this story will indeed grow more vile than anyone could have thought.
Rep. Reynolds:We knew our courts were in sad shape, being run by judges that render decisions in an arbitrary and capricious manner, but until the case of Terri Schiavo, I dont think any of us knew how bad a shape the courts were in.
While Congress passed a bill, signed by the President, to grant Terris parents the ability to have her case reviewed de novo in federal court, federal judges at every level chose to ignore the will of Congress, and refused to give Terris case a fresh look. This has perpetrated a gross injustice that potentially affects us all.
Renegade courts have now reached a stage of crisis. My wife and I voted for George W. Bush in 2000 primarily for the purpose of turning the federal courts around. We supported Republican candidates in 2002 for the same reason. And we worked for, and financially supported Pres. Bushs re-election in 2004, along with other congressional Republican candidates, again, for the same reason. Over the course of four years nothing has been done to change the direction of the federal courts. The Democrats in the Senate continue to obstruct the Presidents nominees through an unconstitutional filibuster, while Republicans are trying to find enough of a backbone among their 55 members to challenge that obstruction.
In 2004, my wife and I contributed a combined $1,600 to Bush-Cheney 04, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee, the RNC, the John Thune for Senate campaign, the Bill Jones for Senate campaign, and the Swift Boat Vets for Truth, all with the ultimate goal of changing our federal courts (among other secondary issues).
For over 25 years, weve heard Republican officials talk about promoting the pro-life position. Frankly, Congressman, Im tired of the lip-service. Im not contributing another dime to Republicans until the GOP figures out a way to break the Democrats obstruction in the Senate and starts putting judges on the federal courts that respect the letter of law, rather than make things up as they go. We're the majority; we should start acting like it. Its way past time for you people to deliver. When that obstruction is broken, you may then send me an appeal for money.
You may communicate this to your Senate counterpart.
Sincerely,
/signed/
"She has not even left the Earth yet and the bidding is going on."
THAT is the sick part.
On another note: I wonder if he'll marry his live-in?
FOUR DAYS AFTER RECEIVING THE MONEY HE PUT A DNR ORDER on Terri's CHART and WITHIN SIX MONTHS HAD FOUND A LAWYER TO HELP HIM KILL HER!
August 1992
Terri Schiavo is awarded $250,000 in an out-of-court medical malpractice settlement with one of her physicians.
November 1992
The jury in the medical malpractice trial against another of Terris physicians awards more than one million dollars. In the end, after attorneys fees and other expenses, Michael Schiavo received about $300,000 and about $750,000 was put in a trust fund specifically for Terri Schiavos medical care.
May 1998
Michael Schiavo petitions the court to authorize the removal of Terri Schiavos PEG tube; the Schindlers oppose, saying that Terri would want to remain alive. The court appoints Richard Pearse, Esq., to serve as the second guardian ad litem for Terri Schiavo.
I assume when you said "4 days", you actually meant "6 years", yes?
Ain't just democrat that are to blame here. I believe Greer claims to be a "Republican" when he ran in Pinellas County (Which is 50/50).
Scum is scum, and partisanship doesn't matter that much in this one. There's plenty of blame to go around here.
Yeah, supply and demand and all.
I wonder if Mike Schiavo's common law life is
afraid of him in any way?
she needs to RUN FOR HER LIFE!
He'll need it for his defense lawyers in the murder trial.
NO problem with "Supply and Demand", but sometimes the things that are supplied and the things that are demanded are, well, sickening...
At least it looks like they had a nice dental plan.
"Two years in, her own mother said in court filings that Michael should be allowed to date other women"
Least she has been consistent in trying to dump him from the family, but she was too nice, instead she should of just threatened a law suit for a divorce two years ago by saying --this is what my daughter would have wanted---and this whole mess of starving somebody to death, a cold act not even allowed for animals or criminals that could have been avoided...
After he gets the money, I hope the family sues him for wrongful death. Make him more broke than OJ.

List of Schiavo Donors Will Be Sold by Direct-Marketing Firm
By DAVID D. KIRKPATRICK and JOHN SCHWARTZ
WASHINGTON, March 28 - The parents of Terri Schiavo have authorized a conservative direct-mailing firm to sell a list of their financial supporters, making it likely that thousands of strangers moved by her plight will receive a steady stream of solicitations from anti-abortion and conservative groups.
"These compassionate pro-lifers donated toward Bob Schindler's legal battle to keep Terri's estranged husband from removing the feeding tube from Terri," says a description of the list on the Web site of the firm, Response Unlimited, which is asking $150 a month for 6,000 names and $500 a month for 4,000 e-mail addresses of people who responded last month to an e-mail plea from Ms. Schiavo's father. "These individuals are passionate about the way they value human life, adamantly oppose euthanasia and are pro-life in every sense of the word!"
Privacy experts said the sale of the list was legal and even predictable, if ghoulish.
"I think it's amusing," said Robert Gellman, a privacy and information policy consultant. "I think it's absolutely classic America. Everything is for sale in America, every type of personal information."
Executives of Response Unlimited declined to comment. Gary McCullough, director of the Christian Communication Network and a spokesman for Ms. Schiavo's parents, confirmed that Mr. Schindler had agreed to let Response Unlimited rent out the list as part of a deal for the firm to send an e-mail solicitation raising money on the family's behalf.
The Schindlers have waged a lengthy legal battle against their son-in-law Michael Schiavo to prevent the removal of the feeding tube from their daughter, who doctors say is in a persistent vegetative state.
Mr. McCullough said he was present when Mr. Schindler agreed to the arrangement in a conversation with Phil Sheldon, the co-founder of a conservative online marketing organization, RightMarch.com, who acted as a broker for Response Unlimited.
"So the Schindlers do know the details," Mr. McCullough said on Monday. How much attention they paid to the matter is hard to assess, he added. "The Schindlers right now know that their daughter is starving to death, and if I ask about anything else, they say, 'I don't want to hear about it.' "
Direct mail and mass e-mailings are ubiquitous fund-raising tools of interest groups on the left as well as the right, and others in the direct-mail business defended the sale of lists like the roster of donors to the Schindlers as a useful way for potential donors to learn of causes that might appeal to them.
Pamela Hennessy, an unpaid spokeswoman for the Schindlers, said she was initially appalled when she learned of the list's existence.
"It is possibly the most distasteful thing I have ever seen," Ms. Hennessy said. "Everybody is making a buck off of her."
Ms. Hennessy, who operates the Schindlers' Web site, www.terrisfight.org, said the family had not released any of the names or e-mail addresses gathered there. "Obviously these people are enterprising, and they are taking advantage of this very desperate father," she said.
On Sunday, as the Schindlers gave up on their legal battle and their daughter passed her 10th day without food, others continued to rally supporters and solicit money in an effort to restore the feeding tube.
"This time, we have a real chance to break through the 'roadblocks' that the enemies of life have been putting up in front of us," said a mass e-mailing from RightMarch.com, asking supporters to urge Gov. Jeb Bush to intervene somehow.
The message added: "We're asking you to give a donation to help with our activism efforts to save Terri's life. Battles cost money; resources cost money; media costs money; we could go on, but you get the picture."
Mr. Sheldon - whose father, the Rev. Lou Sheldon, founder of the Traditional Values Coalition, has also sent appeals urging support for Ms. Schiavo - apparently played a dual role as a partner in RightMarch.com, which is working with the anti-abortion activist Randall Terry, and as a broker for Response Unlimited. Mr. Sheldon did not respond to phone calls yesterday.
"I think it sounds a little unusual right now because of the situation where she is in the process of dying," said Richard Viguerie, another major conservative direct-mail operator. "If you came across this information six months or a year from now, I don't think you would give it too much thought."
His babe, Jodi Cenzone, will never become his wife. The selfish bastard Schiavo would never want to share his newfound millions with a wife.
He'll be able to afford all the cocaine, etc., that he wants.
May he overdose and find himself on life support! With greedy relatives standing at his bedside, and George Felos helping him to pass over to the other side while chanting goofy mantras.
Poetic justice.
bump
I agree! Theresas' parents should have gone to court and demanded a devorce from Mike Schiavo! [for cohabitating with another woman for the sum of what adds up to common law marriage, with two children in tow].
The Shindlers sadly were just not aggressive to be rid of this bigamist Mike Schiavo.
A good private investigator with a good camera could have documented Mike Schiavo in his blatent adultery, + bigamy.
It's a criminal offense marrying someone while still legally married to another.
But marriages aren't entered in Florida by living with someone for some amount of time. There must be a ceremony and intent to marry.
Cocaine?
No [common law in Florida]??
