123! 123 Threads in three (3) days! What the heck is going on? I know this is a very important issue to a lot of people, and I too have very striong feelings, but Holy Mackerel! This is embarrassing. Just look at some of these headlines, threads, and vanities.
When I booted up the puter this morning, I was sickened by this thread: "Terri Bleeding From Eyes and Mouth". Would you want this for someone you know? Is this what we FReepers have become? No better than the sesationalistic lamestream press? I can hardly believe this is my beloved, cherished, respected FRee Republic.
This may even serve as a temporary OPUS, until she (unfortunatly) passes. Go ahead and flame me, I can take it, but I hope I made a couple of you stop and think.

All this has made me want to get off FR forever. I mean...some of the posts comparing her to Jesus is just ridiculous. I mean...I feel bad for the woman, but come on! We are in a war and this whole site has only Terri posts.
All the people who are tired of Terri need not worry she'll be gone forever real soon.
Let others decide when they have.
I see such bitter and hostile remarks aimed at one another here that it is hard to tell the DU site from the FR site. Personally, I think the DU'ers get along better with each other.
My heart aches for what is happening to Terri, but it is also aching for the animosity that I see directed at fellow FReepers.
I miss the pre-election friendliness displayed by all. I say this with the most sincerest respect.

My concern isn't about koolaid or sheeple. It's about posting threads that are based on heresay, inuendo, and laced with over-the-top insults. I think there is a way to express concerns about Terri Schiavo and the issues around what's happening to her in a civilized manner. Instead, people on the political left have accused FR of being a hotbed of "rightwing freaks", and I'm sorry to say that the Terri Schiavo threads are proving them right.
It is a watershed event. It is the ultimate loss of our right to life.
