Well, I gladly swallowed the purple pill, but there is this gnawing feeling inside of me that just won't go away.
My hero, the man for whom I've waged many bitter cyber battles, seems to have laid down his arms.
George W(ith the Lion's Heart) Bush, stalwart defender of the rights of the oppressed, World Leader of world leaders, is...
...is where?
Don't tell me he's AWOL.
Not now! It can't be!
The enemies of our liberty are inside our walls, where is our Chief?
We have convened our council, laid out our plans, drafted a declaration of war with the full approval of our Leader, strapped on our swords, put on our helmets, raised up our banners, and, and...
Did someone say, "Hurry up and wait"?
I just don't get it. Of course, I'm only a grunt, but it looks to me like we have everything we need for this battle. We're armed with a law, untested, but good enough for the immediate job. We have a large force, maybe not quite as big as those arrayed against us, but we're more fired up. And we have a Leader who has proven his mettle against all of our enemies thus far.
With Right on our side, we can't lose!
All we need now is our Chief.
I just called his house again, but there's no answer.
Our Field Commanders fired a volley of arrows at the rebels but they caught them and contemptuously threw them away.
The rebels are laughing at our weapons.
Oh boy!
Somebody find the Chief will ya'.
ummm....
no....
give me a break. Your reasoning sucks and your logic is non-existant....

Gee, just what we need another useless vanity against the President.
Take another pill.
This gets scarier by the minute. There is no doubt this is a heartbreaking and unfair situation.
To blame our president and my governor for the outcome is unreasonable. They have BOTH done as much as they can, within the bounds of the law. Now we may not like the law in this case- and no doubt laws will be changed as a result.
Perhaps if the Schindler's had more creative and competent legal representation, both the governor and president would have had more to work with.
that would be a start....
unfortunately the laws werent changed before Terri's time. But that and a reform of the judicial proces may happen as a result.
and its only going to get worse.
The President is the Chief Executive, he is in charge of the executive branch of Govt. The Legisative branch issued a supeona, he should enforce it. He should hold Terri for Congress and arrest Greer for obstruction of justice.
And if not him, who?
Hey Steamless, just what issue are you talking about?
I don't know.
Not one of the courts say Greer has obscruted justice or that there has not been any due process for Terri. If you wanted the O of J to stick, it will end up back in the very same courts.
the Legislators aren't screaming for her to appear either. In the end, this doesn't land on the President's feet nor the governor's.
Exactly.
Both Bushes have shown themselves to be toothless. Jeb's career is over if he had any thoughts beyond the governor's mansion. W? What's he have to lose by saving a woman's life?
Oh, I forgot. A Bush can do no wrong. Even if he does nothing.
But, you might be so kind as to tell me who is responsible for enforcing a supeona issued by congress, if not the executive branch.
Yes, but the issues you have raised are true conservative issues, not Neo-Con issues. Don't you know what's important? Come on now, the more CEOs make, the more they have to give to politicians. And heaven forbid we start looking at the cause and not the symptoms on the abortion issue. Focusing on personal morality and bringing others to the love of Christ? That doesn't make good press, come on!
Now, I will silence you by accusing you of being an Anti-Semite! Goodbye Anti-Semite! (sarcasm)
Congress issued subpoenas.
Congress enacted legislation and it was signed into law by President Bush.
All of that has been ignored.
President Bush has the duty and authority to enforce the law.
He hasn't done so. Why not?
Does your mommy know you are using her keyboard?
Congress enacted legislation and it was signed into law by President Bush.
If we hadn't aborted forty plus millions of babies, we wouldn't need to let illegal immigrants flow into the USA.
If government stayed out of health care entirely, it would be affordable.
If so many potential leaders hadn't been flushed down the drain, there would be alot more competition for the top spots in all walks of life.
And if the abortion issue is ignored, this is going to be just another Latin American country. (or possibly a new province of China)
