Schindlers accuse Jeb of torture
Fox News Shawn Hannity | 25 March 2005 | James F. Rowland

Posted on 03/25/2005 6:27:16 PM PST by steampower

The parents of Terri Schiavo/Schindler just made an impassioned appeal to Florida Governor Jeb Bush to save their dying daughter. Mrs. Schiavo was obviously tired and spoke in a restrained manner, but her husband, Robert, although looking terribly fatigued, used very strong language and placed much of the blame for his daughter's seven days of "torture" directly on Jeb Bush, blaming him for the inaction that is letting Terri be murdered by a "tyrannical" judiciary.

Mr.Schindler says that the Governor has the power to end their ordeal with a "stroke of the pen" and if he had courage he would do it.

"the father said that when Terri dies, he hopes she ends up in Hell."

If thats what he really said, then the poor guy's lost it, not that I blame him. If it were me, I'd have been hauled away around a month ago.

Are you sure he didn't mean Michael?

As someone who just got home from seeing her grandmother at the nursing home who has alzheimers, I can not believe there are people on this board who think it is okay to thirst someone to death.

May you never have to see someone you love so helpless.

Um, yeah, but what did you mean by Bob Schindler damning his daughter to Hell?

I'm sure he didn't mean Micheal, unless Micheal has had a sex change recently because he said "SHE".

What the heck does that have to do with Schindler going off the deep end?

And the Schindler's didn't accuse Jeb of torture

Robert Schindler said that "the governor is responsible for the agony of the past week. He can act. He has the power to act."

I understand thatthe guy is going through hell on earth right now, but that doesn't excuse this kind of scapegoating...

The Schindlers are going to very quickly wear out the sympathy I have for them...

You ask him. He's the one who made that remark, and I find that remark repugnant. No father would say such a thing to their daughter, particularly in this case.

I didn't see it .. but that would be my guess

There is no way he would say that about his own daughter

These endless news conferences, orchestrated by Randall Terry, are becoming unseemly.

Demonizing Jeb Bush seems to be the strategy, now. Trash the one guy in Florida who has done his best to help.

You nailed it. This family once praised Jeb Bush - now they are critical and ungrateful?

Looks like Randall Terry, Alan Keyes, and Larry Klayman have made their mark.

By what law?

Jeb said he was looking for a way to do this, so if Terri's pops has special knowledge, he should share it.

I'll agree they need to dump Randall Terry .. he is not helping this family

Yup. THe saddest part is, that in their grief, the Schindler can't even see that they are now being used by people with agendas... Sad.

They didn't say it outright, but they inferred it by saying to the effect "The Governor can act with the stroke of a pen, and he hasn't".

I'm sorry, I disagree with most here! Jeb has cowarded out IMO! He is walking away! he is bowing to the Judicial System when he has as much power as they do! That is no leader IMO, that is a coward!

By the way, this is about a human life, Bob Schindlers daughter!! You would fight like hell for your kids and if that means begging someone and telling them to get off their ass to save your child I believe we'd all do it!

You owe Mr. Shiavo and all of us here an apology for that cruel and insensitive remark.

Do you have a source for that? A link or something? I mean, that is an incredible statement and I'd like some verification as to whether it was really said...

Thanks.

It was in one of their pleading papers; the Schindlers said that if she dies like this, according to the Vatican, she will face damnation.

Matthews read it on more than one night.

I hope you never have to watch one of your children die slowly of thirst.

Mr. Schindler is in a state of deep emotional exhaustion.

Give him a break.

And listen to the Holy Father.
