Here's something to ponder.

You are supporting the execution of a woman who can laugh.

"One religious view"? I think you're using media bias against faith to mask your own bigotry.

The U.S. Constitution is the highest law, and it should protect her life.

Actually my liberal friend we are opposed to judicial tyranny. If you were to read the trial transcript, there is no way the testimony was clear and convincing that Terri wanted to die.

Ms. Campbell did a poor job of trying the case and unfortunately in our system of justice we only get to try a case once.

Democrats are the ones who want government in our schools and Christians out. Democrats are the ones who want homosexuals to be able to have anal and oral intercourse in public restroom, as long as they keep the stall door closed. Anyone who is curious about the strange noises coming from the toilet area better not look over the door to see what the problem is or the democrats will have them before Judge Greer on charges of invasion of privacy.

Democrats like you know more about big government than any of us.

The "husband" is er, phrasing it delicately, simply lying.

IF (big IF) he were telling the truth, THEN there would be no case, and no discussion.

BUT HE IS LYING.

And Greer and Felos, Micheal's attorney, are concealing evidence, rejecting ANY opinion that contradicts WHAT ONY THEY WANT, and are working very, very hard to prevent anybody from examining ANY part of the record that would show what her true condition is.

Now, the murderer IS the guilty party, the "government" (Jeb Bush and the federal repubbies) are trying the SAVE the innocnet woman until soembody can review the case OTHER than Greer.

To add to your point with a question: Hasn't the government stepped in to demand treatment for children when the parents (legal guardians) refused treatment for their children because of religions beliefs?
I seem to remember hearing this in the news but cannot site a specific case right now.

You're not a conservative... A conservative is for LIMITED government...

You are more correctly defined as an ANARCHIST. You want NO government, because you want the law of nature (only the strongest survive) to prevail. That's what is happening in this case. The week are being culled.

I am a conservative. I see that the government has an OBLIGATION to step in to protect it's weakest members... Children, The Disabled, and the Unborn.

I don't do polls.

Neither do I and that's why I feel bad about pinging, but I wanted the list to see the various comments. The war of words so to speak. It's hard to get this kind of stimulating conversation at work. :)

You are so completely and morally wrong you are way off the charts on this.

Government's main obligation is to protect the lives of its people, an obligation it has surrendered to the judicial branch.

Your gripe should be directed at the judiciary, not the executive or legislative branches.

But the hypocrisy of wanting the Government to intervene here, but no where else, is baffling to me.

The government - the judiciary - is murderering her. The citizenry cannot stop it - so that's where other branches of the government come in.

BTW, it was Micheal Shiavo who started the government intrusion...

It does not matter what Terri wanted! She did not commit anything in writing and her guardian has made the decision. Do you understand that?

The U.S. Constitution is the highest law

And the judges in this case have ignored that fact!

The media should be bumped on up there above her parents. They're willing accomplices, broadcasting every thing that Schiavo and his lawyer have to say.

"limited government and privacy rights.

"I thought we wanted government out of our lives, our bedrooms..."

-do you believe you have the *right* to hold someone hostage in your bedroom, and starve them to death?

-of course not. Government has the obligation and responsiblity to protect life.
