Too much information is out now. That worked well when the lid was kept on in Florida. Now the lid is blown sky high.

I wonder if this is not a conspiracy to unleash the virus of euthanasia on this nation by Satin himself.

It probably is. It is truly terrifying.

I wonder how much the Scientology people in that part of Florida have been pushing the euthanasia agenda. You should know that the world headquarters for the "Church" of Scientology is in Clearwater, Florida.

I have to presume that he has access to much stronger legal advisors and strategists then the SChiavo family and that is why I think the DCF approach is the one that is going to get it done.

Gov. Jeb Bush and the state Depatment of Children and Families filed a petition in state court asking to intervene. Greer said he will rule today on the request, but issued an order barring DCF from taking custody of Schiavo.

The last verse in Malacji comes to mind...

"Remember the law of my servant Moses..." {Mal 4:4a RSV}

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse." {Mal 4:5-6 RSV}

---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dreadful. adj.

Inspiring dread; terrible.

Extremely unpleasant; distasteful or shocking: dreadful table manners; this dreadful heat

Dread v.

1 - To be in terror of.

2 - To anticipate with alarm, distaste, or reluctance: dreaded the long drive home.

3 - Archaic. To hold in awe or reverence.

Malachi lays stress upon the inevitableness of the Day of Judgment, the coming of which would prove to the skeptical that devotion and fear of God are not in vain, but will be rewarded. The messenger of Yhwh and the Last Judgment form the closing theme of Malachi's prophecy.

You will get no argument from me about the danger we are in from these activist judges.

But it is going to be necessary for the republican party to stay in power for the next several years in order to make good solid conservative appointments to these courts.

I see a big risk in taking action that may damage the party and it's credibility. Then Hillary Clinton would be able to waltz right in and then we are truly doomed.

....Waiting here for the "Doomed" picture to be posted :-)

Do you really think all of the judges would be conspiring together to kill Terri?

You see, that is what the emotional person would fix on. Actually Terri is only the focus of a contest of wills between the Judiciary and the elected branches over the entire social and anti-liberty agenda the Left has pushed through the courts for 50 years. It that time, those who advocate unconditional obedience to the Judiciary have abetted them in usurping and subverting the Constitution to whatever the Left wants it to be. Original intent, Federalist #78, Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson's open defiance of the Court in defense of the Constitution and Executive prerogatives have been all but forgotten.

It really started when Supreme Court of Florida (SCOFLA or Scoff-Law) blew off Terri's Law with hardly any reason at all. Then Sunday, the Congress raised the separation of powers issue to the federal level. The federal courts had no choice but to similarly blow off the federal law, counting on bluffing the Executive into inaction. Yesterday, both Bushes (contrary to news reports) issued implicit bluffs of their own, which raised the issue to a test of wills neither side can afford to lose. It remains only for SCOTUS to call or fold in the next few hours for the final play. The fact that it is almost certainly impossible to impeach either Bush if they act is their ace-in-the-hole.

It is not surprising that the MSM under- and misreports what is going on or misdirects people to argue over side-issues or that the emotions over Terri Schiavo's life should command most people's attention from the real issue, breaking the Judicial Oligopoly.

You will get no argument from me that the stakes are extremely high. This is the most important separation of powers contest at least since Andrew Jackson declared regarding Worcester v. Georgia in 1832, "Marshall has made his decision. Now let him enforce it."

President Bush's exact words from the press conference....

PRESIDENT BUSH: I have not discussed next steps with the brother -- my brother, who is the Governor of Florida. I have looked at all options prior to taking the action we took last weekend, in concert with Congress.(past tense) And we felt like the actions taken with Congress was(past tense) the best course of action. This is an extraordinary and sad case, and I believe that in a case such as this, the legislative branch, the executive branch ought to err on the side of life, which we have (past tense).

And now we'll watch the courts make its decisions. But we looked at all options from the executive branch perspective.

It's all past tense and in the last sentence he clearly says that they already looked at all options. If the President meant the words he said, (and they are all consistent), then he feels like everything he could do has been done.

Please stop. I will talk to you about any other part of this, but saying I am emotional (read irrational) is nothing more than an attempt to marginalize my comments.

We don't agree, that's all.

You people who are more worried about procedure and whether or not intervention is constitutional that a woman's life just floor me.

Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and wink and nod at words o a page.

Besides, if a state governor does something, who's gonna arrest him? And with what army? Doesn't he have the whole state police and national guard under HIS control?

Let this little local moron judge and his local yokel cops try anythimng against that kind of force.

Uh, yes, but the Pubbies might want to remember that they are the frogs in the pot of warm water with these Rat jurists and socialists turning up the heat. They can wait as long as they want, but then again they may have waited too long already.

When evil and stupid go to war evil always wins.

Hi all,
Heard a couple minutes ago on ABC news that the judge that said Terri may've been mis-diagnosed was a member of a pro-life Christian group or something of the sort. Funny how they don't put the same scrutiny on the doctors who say she's in PVS...

I just don't want to see the chaos that would occur if the President or Governor Bush were to do something illegal.

The Bushes would not be breaking any law. They would be defying court opinions. Court opinions ordinarily have the force of law. They are given force of law by Executive action. But they are not law. That is the distinction. The Executive action gives only the appearance that the Judiciary has power. Federalist #78 states, "The judiciary... has no influence over either the sword or the purse; no direction either of the strength or of the wealth of the society; and can take no active resolution whatever. It may truly be said to have neither FORCE nor WILL, but merely judgment; and must ultimately depend upon the aid of the executive arm even for the efficacy of its judgments." There is nothing illegal or extra-constitutional about the Executive and Legislature insisting on their powers being separate from and exercised independently of the Judiciary.

Wouldn't the judges (Mullahs) remove Jeb from office and have his police officers arrest him and then sentence him - if he tried to exercise his office?

I agree...if the judges can rule whether we have life or death by one vote, then we are not a free people.
If the hospice were burning, the firemen would go in and rescue Terri to keep her alive. How ironic that the policemen outside her door are there to make sure she dies of starvation! They are no better than the guards at Auswitz.
