I got a call from an FBI agent in my local office today. They also left a business card at my residence while I was a work. They want me to come down for an interview. They will not tell me any specifics except that it is within a criminal investigation.
More important, were they compassionate and and heart felt?
Best statement to this time on this thread nmh!
How do you know this person was really from the FBI?

Call a lawyer. Don't make any statements until then.
If you do go and visit them forget about bringing a tape recorder in or anything else they don't want there. You will be very throughly searched and will have to go through very sensitive metal detectors.
It sounds to me like they want you for information on something and it may be that the person or persons that are working on the actual case want you to come to them instead of them taking the time to come to you.
You will find that FBI special agents are very professional people that are highly educated and extremely good at what they do.
I doubt you have anything to worry about. If you did you would know.
The FBI will come to your house and take pictures, ask if you own guns, and if you have any intent of harming anyone! How do I know? Its because the FBI came to house and did all these things and it was because of Clinton, the so called "Commanderless in Chief" who was supposedly being accused of Treason! Look up "Commanderless in Cheif" in the search archives! Grassontop
Good luck!
TAKE A LAWYER!
I've talked to investigators doing background checks on neighbors for various security clearances and I've never once let them in the house.
We do our talking on the front porch, or not at all.
And that's where I have absolutely no doubts about their sincerity, honesty or integrity.
Is anyone in your sphere of influence possibly interviewing for a job with the FBI, CIA, ATF, or any other similar govt agency?
It is common for the FBI to conduct interviews when investigating someone else who may be under consideration for employment that requires a security clearance.
In my case I let them in! I did not have anything to hide. I haven't been bothered since their third inquiry. Grassontop
Eat lots of egg salad sandwiches and enchiladas, and change your FR handle to 'Silent But Deadly'. Then go visit the FBI.
They'll never ask you back again.
Seriously, I doubt that you have anything to worry about. IF you were in any trouble at all, they would have just swooped down on your ass, picked you up, cuffed you, and that would be all she wrote Dear John.
Don't go in there with an attitude, and be respectful, and they'll treat you the same way.
Well, maybe eat a little extra garlic ~ just to be sure you know.
Tell the feds that when they get serious about the illegals committing crimes each day you will help them convict an American.
I thought several of them should be tried for treason with applicable punishments.

Possibly, but they also said it involved a "criminal investigation", although not "currently" of me.
Can't they legally lie?
On Sunday, here in Olympia, Washington, we had a very bad windy storm, and several trees all over the area went down...then the power went out, and stayed out for over 9 hours...I was furious, that it was taking so dang long for the power to come back on...so my hubby, drove around the area, going to various power substations, trying to see what was going on...apparently he never found our substation, tho, as all the substations he saw, had no activity, or repairing going on...
The next day, I called the power company, with an inquiry as to why it took so long for the power to come back on...I am not in an isolated area, rather am in an area, with thousands of homes...the power company personel were very nice, and explained to me, that a number of trees had crashed into our local power substation, and had caused major, major damage, which took a long time to repair...
So then I asked where the power sub station was, that serviced our neighborhood...they would not tell me...the reason being, that anyone asking for the location of power substations, is automatically flagged as a possible terrorist...
Good grief, I asked this guy, do you really think I am a terrorist?...I told him I was just a little old lady...he said, well no, he figured I was legit, as I was just asking about the power station in my area, and asking after a bad storm, and a long, long blackout...
Since 9/11, they said, that if too many people inquired about where power substations were, they would begin to think that terrorists were planning a joint bombing of power stations, to cause widespread blackouts, and chaos...
So on the one hand, its good that they are vigilant...but it was scarey, knowing that I might be flagged as a possible terrorist..
Jeez!
I wonder if I made some kind of innocuous inquiry about something. I will have to think about it.
Thank you.
Head for Mexico!!!
