It may be connected to some very verbose emails I exchanged with certain DU members. I really don't know. Here is what's happening now:
I just received a letter from the US Attorney in Reno, NV. I am apparently being investigated for "Interstate communication of threats". The FBI forwarded a report to them. I never did consent to an interview with the FBI back in March.
The US Attorney's letter said that if I or my attorney have anything to say that might affect their decision on whether or not to go to a Grand Jury to contact them by June 30th.
Any thoughts?

I am not an attorney, but from what I understand, it is quite easy to get a Grand Jury to give an indictment. All they are doing is reviewing evidence/statements to see if there is enough to move forward in terms of prosecution.
I don't know the severity of your situation, but my guess is that now would be the time to get an attorney.
Right, I know that once they go to a Grand Jury the chances are they will get an indictment.
Why they are contacting me about it before hand I don't know.
I will be in contact with an attoney and with the Federal Public Defenders office tomorrow.

My thoughts don't matter. Your atty should be advising you and that's what the atty is paid for.If you don't have an atty working on this yet, spend the money and get one now while there is still a chance to quash it before it goes to a GJ

What's considered questionable? Have you asked anyone what they might consider questionable? Something that might seem rather innocuous to us might seem questionable to someone in law enforcement.
Right now I am not going to worry about that.
It is often amazing how fast an exchange of view points can escalate into something that can be read in a number of different ways.
The saga depicted by this thread might indicate that your e-mails may have stepped across that line and were taken (or clained of) as some form of threat. It is pretty easy to get goaded into making comments on-line you would never make in any sort of public manner, and yet, on-line exchanges are public in their own way and surely permenant.
Good news indeed.
It may have been certain web wanderings.. Going to the weird, extreme ends of the political web world probably attracts attention.
No doubt many sites are monitored.
Had a good's night sleep for the first time in 26 days last night.
Both i and my husband did have meeting with FBI people, seems like they just want get some info for their research matters. nothing bad. i was nervous too. i even checked them by call back their number to make sure this is not the bad phone calls. :)
