It appears that Terri Schiavo is going to be starved and dehydrated. I don't see how it going to be stopped short of a kidnapping to save her life.
If we are to believe sworn affidavits, Michael Schiavo denied his beloved wife rehab, speech, and occupational therapy. Terri actually was able to drink from a baby bottle and ate pudding and jello. He threatened to fire a nurse if she got nourishment from anything but the feeding tube?
Why just the feeding tube? Because he could have that pulled and starve her to death. He had no interest in seeing that she learn to eat again.
A nurse has said that Terri was able to say "mommy," "help me," "hi," and express when she was in pain.
Terri is also being denied communion.
Michael thinks it is over when he has managed to starve and dehydrate her to death? No, Michael, I don't think so.
There will be a wrongful death suit filed of perhaps $20 million. The evidence will come out about the denial of rehab. Her broken bones will be investigated. Ultimately, Michael, some of the truth is going to see the light of day. You are not going to get away with it. Not in this life. Not in the next.
Fair enough.
Why does this woman need to die - stop it!
My goodness does this thread have us fighting. Maybe we should talk about something on which we agree. I know --- Hillary Clinton is Satan's Daughter.
And I'm glad for your mom.
Terri had intensive therapy for 3 years and was not able to swallow.
The feeding tube was inserted before she ever left the hospital.
Be well, my friend.
Since "the Deejay" continues to avoid the question, maybe you can answer for him.
Was it before the settlement or after that MS decided to pull Terri's feeding tube?
So what, he was not "warm and fuzzy." That doesn't make him a murderer. I can't believe FR has sunk so low. we're DU without the profanity.
If thearpy were going to benefit her, it would have done so in the early stages.
Michael raised funds & took her to CA to have an electrode implant put into her brain.
Doctors said to leave the implant in place for 6 months.
Michael decided to leave it for a year.
The implant is still there. It hasn't benefited Terri in the least.
Can you confirm for me that what is happening is not God's will?
LOL!
The least you can do is share!
Five years after the settlement, MS decided to pull the tube.
The Schindlers testified under oath in court that even if Terri got diabetes and needed multiple amputations as a result that they would keep her alive.
They testified under oath in court that regardless of Terri's wishes, they would keep her alive.
Michael was quoted as saying something like "that's enough" and I personally think that is why he won't turn her over to her parents.
I know that my husband, even if he went on to a new life, would not let me live like that.
Speak for yourself--do not include me in your sunk-so-low description.
Years.
LOL!!
In fact, here's the timeline complete with links you can click.

I must admit to hyocrisy. I would deny food and water to this creature.
You are shallow......
All of that happened BEFORE he got the settlement check.
Heresay..all heresay. ;-)
The facts of this case are terribly sad, but they are not hard to understand. There's really nothing to be confused about, and as best I can tell, nothing's been overlooked by anyone. Terri's situation has arguably received more judicial attention, more medical attention, more executive attention, and more "due process," than any other guardianship case in history. Terri's family has had the benefit of excellent legal representation as well as the Governor's own top-notch attorneys, all of whom have scoured the case for ways to assist the effort to keep Terri's feeding tube in place.
My second thought concerns the nature of trials. As you probably know (or will learn if you read the material below), Judge Greer held a full trial in this case to determine how Terri would choose to exercise her privacy rights. Michael was on one side; Terri's parents were on the other. Both sides brought witnesses and experts. In the end, the judge ruled that Terri would not wish to continue receiving nurishment and hydration through a surgically implanted tube.
Now, Doug, don't you think the judge and the experts and everyone involved has looked at all the "credible" evidence? Don't you think that Jeb Bush's attorneys would have brought up anything in their power if it was going to help Terri and not make Jeb look bad in this. Come on.
The truth hurts.
