KING: "Wouldn't it be ironic, Michael, if it were pulled and suddenly something happened and they found something that cures or aids people in this condition, and they can live at least a partial life again? Wouldn't you feel terrible? "
SCHIAVO: "There's nothing out there that's going to do that, Larry. Let's be realistic, Larry. You can't regrow a brain."

Get a grip. All previous testimony as near I can tell is thrown out, de novo. The best they can do is use this as evidence in upcoming trials, testimony, etc.

Did he say this before or after the catscans that purportedly showed her brain was gone? If after, then he might be lying, but he wouldn't be "inconsistent" with the other stuff he's trotting out.
To: BigSkyFreeper
I suffered thru the entire interview.
It was a great "bash Bush and the GOP forum."

Ya think?? Some day, he'll have to answer for his crimes. He'll have a nice, warm spot at Lucifer's bar, right next to Scott Peterson.

So no medical testimony was taken into account?
Perjury on TV?
Wow.

I watched the interview and something just wasn't right. hard to put my finger on it... But a strong odor kept wafting from the TV set. Smelled like BS.

Thanks, dakine, for pointing that out! I forgot to include "Schiavo." (Of course, if the shoe fits for any other Michael...)
Admin Moderator, can you insert "Schiavo" into my title, please?

NEETS WROTE: "Perjury on TV?"
"Admits" or "proves he committed" would have probably been better.

The easiest way to let the mods know you need something is to alert abuse on the thread and type in your request there. They don't check their comments page like they do the abuse alerts.

Still not true however you phrase it.
It's hysteria.

I had the same reaction too. This was an attempt to set up a mood of the voters to favor the filibuster of Bush's judges.

EXACTLY!
It's a set up to gain democrat support for denying Bush his judicial appointments.
Good gamble on the part of democrats.
According to polls, the Shiavo case is vastly
in their favor.

Not really too misleading. That applies just as well to Michael Jackson.....

I think the word 'perjury' might be a little bit stretched here. As far as I'm concerned, Michael Schiavo isn't much better than Scott Peterson but you don't perjure yourself on Larry King.

I think you're mistaken about this. He pursued and won a malpractice suit against her ob/gyn. The fact that most of the award went into a trust for her hospice care was irrelevant to the winning of the malpractice suit, which was based upon care prior to her cardiac arrest.
