I was thinking... if I found a loose horse, I'd have definately kept the horse with me. If someone has fallen and is injured, they might have an easier time being led out on the horse then walking.

Remember the two hikers that were missing here last week? When I was talking about mounted search and rescue? They found them, lost and tired, and ponied up two horses for them to ride back. Heh. They were too remote to drive to, too tired to walk back, but not critical enough to need a chopper.

This lady just told me that it is a nice place to ride, lots of steep hills to climb.

I don't know what I'd do if I found a loose horse. ON a bicycle it might be hard to keep the horse with you. But I'd also think if I found a loose horse, and a rider thrown off they may not want to get back on that horse:)....
