I'm back from riding Rusty. Once again he did great. I even encouraged him to walk out a little faster. The flies are horrible tho. Mack is picking me up some fly spray, I used the last yesterday. I'm going to wait for him to get back with it to go out on Rock.

I found my check book. Funny thing. It was out on the trails, but it was on my property. I've ridden past it now everyday. I rode past it on the way out and didn't see it. It wasn't till I was on the way back almost done that I just happen to look down and there it was. Whew.

I've quit using regular horse fly spray. They never last more than a few hours, less if the horse is sweating profusely. I use Deep Woods Off. It's cheaper than fly spray and it works great and we both can use the same thing. It keeps ticks off too.

We don't have flies yet, still too cold at night, I think. But they'll be coming soon. I made a plan yesterday to start being diligent about spreading horse poo every day. And coddling my anthills, I noticed yesterday they were waking back up after winter ;~D
