*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

I've seen those idiots on crotch rocket do that. Mack wants one real bad, and he'd be doing that sort of thing. He turns into a monster when he gets on a bike:)

Becky, did you say your taped the Kentucky Derby? Someone started a thread, (a newbie, getting ate alive), about "something" dropping off or near Giacamo in the back stretch, after the race. My daughter and I saw it too, and a couple others on the thread. I have not seen a word or a clip about the "item". Could be nothing, but just thought I would ask.

whatever we get, we wouldn't use owner financing.
I have been browsing MO today, some really nice looking places there, does anyone on here come from there?

Sat. coming back two were riding beside each other in both lanes. I hate following bikes.

Is 10% too high? It seems to be standard around Texas. 10 % down, 10 years, 10% interest. We did it for our lake lot. My BLI has an older house that way. He come into a lot of money and bought a new house and tried to pay it off early. The woman wouldn't let him. Something about the money would affect her income.
Also, State line has stores. They are usually in with Pet Mart. If one close to you they might have some you could try on.

Get this. My trainer told me the house vet said that sulfa isn't for strangles and took a culture. Tocoprim pharmacolgy says sulfa or PCN. I told my trainer to do what she wanted but Sarah Lee finishing up on smz and I'm not switching her to PCN. It's working and I'm not taking her off again.

Tell him that we think that he's a better person than to get a crotch rocket. Crotch rocketers give motorcyclists a bad name. :-)

They usually have a sizing chart that can help you find the right size. Athough I'm wairy about it too.

Well I landed up not riding any horse today:(. I am coming down with a cold and don't feel so great. Giving Harley a bath wore me out. I think I'm headed to bed. Maybe after a good nights sleep, I'll make it on a horse tomorrow.

Well, I have felt better before:), but on the plus side, I've felt worse too.

I guess I've just got a cold, head full of snot, and a cough....I hate coughs.

It is suppose to be 90 here today. I need to get out this morning and get the horses rode before it gets that hot. I have a feeling, it's not only going to hot but very humid.

the kids are off again today, they are not very unwell, just not 100%. We are headin out to feed horses and other animals, and then to the john deere tractor place for parts.
It is already warm here and its always humid.
We had some interest in our house yesterday, even though we have got stuff still to do and it is not on the market yet. Hope something comes from it cause then our dream of moving to the ountains and getting that acerage will come true! : )
Well must get on, I am already running behind with what I need to do, but I cant help getting excited and browsing the Real estate web pages!
