This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Also, Manda called and left a message asking if you're OK. I called her back and told her the 'deal'. She heard someone talking about you having a plane ticket and she thought you moved away for forever. (awwwwww)
She said that she'll have to get to neighbor's to call long distance, but that she will call ya soon. She also wants me to tell ya that she's 'mad' at ya for not letting her know anything! LOL.

I rode tonight, for the first time in almost 2 years. It felt so strange. My daughter leased a QH gelding to show. He is at a friend's place, that has an indoor arena. It gets so boring going around in circles inside, but I had fun. I will probably feel it tomorrow.
I will keep an eye out for you at the sale, and say hi.

Good morning everyone, we have another beautiful day here, it is only 8am and already in the 60s. It will get up to about 77 today, but tommorow it will be in the low 80s phew! Tommorow Emma is having her 11th birthday party, lead horse rides and hot tub fun! She's got some really nice friends coming.
Duchess, has your mare foaled yet?

Hey Becky, I've been on the Terri Shiavo threads putting in my 2 cents worth.
Winnie got her hyluronic acid injection yesterday, she's stalled up for the next several days. Hope this works.
I've got a girlfriend that lives down in Corpus Christi. She said she's thinking of buying another horse. (she's ridden for many years, just not lately). I told her she could come get Bud and use him if she wants to. I've known this woman my entire life and she has very little family, but I did tell her she'll have to sign a release in case she gets hurt and her remaining family come after me.
Hey Sharn, glad you're having some nice weather. We are, too, it's supposed to be 80 here today but the weekend is gonna be a rainout. I'm thinking of doing our easter egg hunt today or tomorrow.

How I envy you! It was warmer here, in the 50s for the past three days, and now we have a fair amount of snow on the ground and it's back in the 30s.
Oh, yeah I watched the news on that all day yesterday too.
