Pull the GOP's FEEDING TUBE! (VANITY)
3-20-2005 | Terriergal

Posted on 03/20/2005 11:59:08 AM PST by Terriergal

The Republicans seems to be pandering to the 'religious right.' -- and awfully late in the game. I will have to stay a little longer if they do actually do the right thing here in this Schiavo case. If they don't, I am gone. I understand that means political irrelevancy for a while, at least on a national level, but it's not as if the donations I have given to the Republican party have actually done anything anyway.

I just posted this on another thread regarding the response to Terri VERBALLY pleading for her life:

"She just started yelling, 'I waaaannt, I waaaannt,'" Weller explained.

At that point, police removed Weller from Terri's hospice room and, later, her feeding tube was removed.

Apparently they didn't like Terri's accent. /sarcasm
This is pure unadulterated evil. If the Republicans cannot stop this when they have a majority in both houses, a Republican president, and a republican governor in the state in question, then they are worthless and don't deserve anyone's support anymore. If this woman dies because they got caught up in debate and refused, yes REFUSED to take action, (they have had PLENTY of time for this before now if they even cared) then I for one will not support the party anymore. I just can't. I have been hoping against hope too long.

It's Time to pull THE GOP's feeding tube.

They need to hear our warning...and more importantly, to heed it. Not for the Party's sake, but for America's sake.

It was grossly irresponsible to even wait this long. Doesn't the GOP also control the legislature in the state of Florida?

Screw you Terriergal. These people are doing everything they can.
It's difficult when you live in a country that has been brainwashed by Hollywood and the MSM. It's difficult when Democrats oppose everything you do (even to the point of nonsense).
I am SO SICK of hearing people blame Republicans for this.

they are fiddling while rome burns.. talk talk talk.. the president and governor both have power to take her into protective custody... don't get me wrong, i'm not just after the republicans.. but politicians in general.. the time for talk is over.. as soon as Greer blew off those subpoenas, marshalls should have taken Terri out of that hospice and Greer should have been arrested. Perfectly legal.

"as soon as Greer blew off those subpoenas, marshalls should have taken Terri out of that hospice and Greer should have been arrested."

ABSOLUTELY.

Time for LEGISLATORS at all levels of government to get back to making all the laws and judges relegated to interpreting the law and SUBJECT to the law themselves...including the laws of the entity to which they took their OATH OF OFFICE!

Grow up, threatening those who are trying to do something is irresponsible.

"I am SO SICK of hearing people blame Republicans for this."

Then stop watching it happen. Do something about it.

Screw you for just letting bad things happen in our party!

Get mad for God's sake! Change what's going on!

We have the power, we are even IN power! Does that mean nothing for accounability?

As bad as those that do evil, are those who sit on the sidelines and let evil happen!

I'm with you on this one Terriergal!

The plight of Terri Schaivo is giving America a very clear picture of what the democrap party stands for with their culture of death. Sadly, we may lose Terri during the outing exercise. sadder still, the mainstream liberal bilge-spitting media has effectively obfuscated the truth of what is happening and what is at stake. Why? ... Because the liberal media want the death culture to thrive, want the mantra of choice to rule this Republic. In this case, it's Michael Schiavo's 'choice' that's trumping Terri's unalienable right to life, but what does that mean to liberal bilgespittlists? She's been dead for 15 years according to mainstream media's poster boy, Michael. [I better stop now, before the Ad Mod cuts me off for getting too upset. I guess politics really does trump everything else in the current dividied nation.]

The problem resides, however, that the GOP ISN'T doing something.

They are letting a woman die simply because she is invalid. She is brain damaged. She is not brain DEAD.

She is a living person, and in both the US Constitution and the Florida Constituion, no one can be denied their right to life based on physical disability!

Under LAW, she should live! She is no criminal!

Indeed the GOP is in charge of the executive and legislative branches. But leave us not forget how many Republicans are only thus because they could not get voted into office as Democrats. Also, both parties have liberals and conservatives; how many of them put their party above their values/morals is being tested now.

I know what you mean Mike, but I can't see why people are mad and threatening the republicans who are trying to do something here. Saying they're going to leave the GOP...and become what? A member of the party that is yelling KILL KILL at the top of their lungs, allowing them to win?

These are the same people who almost cost the election in 2001. Just think of what could have been accomplished if they hadn't stayed home.

How about supporting the people who are putting their careers on the line to do something that has never been done before instead of threatening them?

"Saying they're going to leave the GOP...and become what?"

Third Party much? They've won before in the US.

"How about supporting the people who are putting their careers on the line to do something that has never been done before instead of threatening them?"

When I see them do something the majority would make an outcry about, I will support their sacrifice. They are currently pulling a Pontius Pilate, and trying to moderate.

We have non-activist politicians and activist judges! That's a "bad" thing in my book.

Yeah, right, third party. That will take them up to what...5% of the vote?

How many votes did the Bull Moose party have before TR ran under it?

For the record, I'm behind the DeLay, et al, maneuver. Further, this is not so outlandish a thing for the Legislature to do, since it is something of a 'loop-hole or flaw in the American's With Disabilities Act. This newenst addition tot hat legislation will result in perhaps a dowen Federal cases per year after written into law. Tha's all ... yet the democrap party is loudly lying about 'thousands of cases to now be reviewed by the legislature'. It is glaringly apparent to anyone paying attention that the democrat party is lying their asses off to hide the truth and obstruct the possible saving of a disabled woman being executed by activist judicial fiat. The democraps are scared sh!tless that their empowerment via judicial fiat is in grave danger ... but it is only in danger if the Republicans 'carpe diem'.

Doesn't matter, there is no Teddy Roosevelt today, and the religious right will not be at home with a bunch of druggies, anti-semites etc. Who are they going to run, McCain?

I don't understand it. The judge saying she should receive no food or water after the tube was removed it essentially a death sentence. And a cruel and unsual death sentance at that.

I assume you are aware that the Bull Moose Party never elected a President but did split the Republican Party and allow one of the worst Presidents of the last century, Woodrow Wilson, to be elected? Bad example.

I'm now very concerned over the apparently hollow threat of 'contempt' issued by Frist. He's posturing to these old eyes.
