Glenn Beck has apologized this morning to all of us that started watching '24' this season based on his recommendation.
He is also saying that he was about to give up on '24' last night because the witers interjected PATRIOTIC Arabs that own a gun store, and are proud to be American and stand with their American brothers to go up against whoever committed the terrorist acts.
WHAT A LINE OF PC CRAP!
I, for one, have not heard a single Arab-American stand up publicly and say that they denounce Islamic terrorism and are willing to stand up with their American brothers to fight this scourge on civilized society.
We've gone from a great reality based action drama that rips headlines from the papers, showing MOST terrorists as they actually are...
To a PC line of BS influenced by the usual suspects, liberal producer, directors, and studio execs, AND a TINY, loud-mouthe minority of bleaters and whiners.
A disgusting FRAUD-of-a-show.
AND, it LOOKS as if the show is turing AWAY from REALISTIC MUSLIM terrorists, to point to EVIL WHITE guys in the defense industry, and maybe even in the military itself.
What a JOKE.
I MAY watch another show or two, but I think I'm DONE after only ONE season of viewing this PC garbage.
I see where you are coming from now. Impressive list of terrorists, but how about creating a similar list of terrorists that have attacked AMERICANS (especially in large numbers), which I didn't state originally perhaps (my oversight), but is what '24' is concerning and what I was speaking of?

My point was that even though there probably are patriotic Arabs in America that own all kinds of stores (never seen an Arab gun store owner though) and are proud to be American, it just seemed to be a forced and contrived, perhaps last minute write-in, to insert two Arab gun store owners into last night's episode. And for what purpose, other than a politcally correct PSA, to push some agenda, or to placate some Arab, Jesse-Jackson-like vocal-minority extortionists?
As far as those two guys little speech last night about standing with their American brothers against whoever committed the terrorist acts, I was just commenting that I had never heard any Arab-Americans stand up in public and say anything like that. Doesn't mean that there haven't been any. Just means I never heard them.
Again, it seemed contrived, cornball, and out of place in last night's episode. So, WHY was it put in the script?
Given the fact that it is written, produced, and directed by liberal Hollywood-types, we can only guess that it was put in to influence public opinion to their way of thinking (and the way of thinking of their extortionists), rather than to just entertain.
Most left-wing groups overseas tend to target americans if they feel they can get away with it... Some, like the IRA, may not do so mainly because it would have alienated their american 'cousins' so-to-speak...
What I figure will happen more and more in coming years will be, as occurred in the 70s and 80s, that left-wing extremist groups will begin to operate with Islamic terrorist groups - your prototypical left-winger will be able to attack a target and blend in easier than a missle easterner. That, and the fact that since the fall of the Soviet Union the funding for these groups has dried up, and they will seek a new source of funding - which is where, I believe, the left-wing groups will approach the islamic groups.
Many of the groups on my list have already killed americans. We just may see more of it in coming years.

How interesting you cite the CIA when it makes your point (the jury is still out on his kidney problems), but ignore other intelligence agencies when they state Saddams WMD related activity in the lead up to the war and stated that they could have been moved to Syria.
