The last few weeks, I've gotten into the habit of logging on early, reading about half the posts ... and then gritting my teeth and pushing away from the computer! LOL! It is just better seeing it "live" on the tv. The only thing that bugs me about this method is that by the time I log on after the show (my tv and computer aren't in the same room) everyone has gone home .... :(
But I am happy for Carrie tonight!! I voted for Bo last night (after long cogitation) but heck, if she had sung last night the way she sang tonight, I think I would have voted for her instead. I am very happy for both Carrie and Bo. They seem very nice and genuine in their own different ways, and it looks to me like both of them have a good leg up on great careers. I just hope they keep their heads screwed on straight and make the most of it! I think they both have a good chance at that, actually, with their very supportive families.
So congrats to Carrie supporters! The joy in her face as she sang her final song and yelled "Thank you America!" was infectious.
And thank you, SJ, for hosting this thread! What a great idea! So much fun. I'm looking forward to next season!
Double ditto....I think this turned out best for both of them, don't you?
If Bo had won, the unforgiving half of America would be hating him with relentless bashing.
Now he's free to perform for his true blue fans, who will keep him buoyed.
How can anyone dis him after his generous
performances tonight?
Every gesture of his was selfless and outward, either toward the audience, the band, his family or his fellow contestants.
It was more than practiced showmanship.
He loved every moment.
When Carrie won, it was the first time we've seen her
turn truly outward. She seemed genuinely grateful, and it was beautiful.
Very nice comments Hetty. You're right Carrie sang her heart out tonight.
I also agree with you about Bo and Carrie's familes. They both will have all the support they need.
And thank you, SJ, for hosting this thread!
It's been my pleasure!
