Stick with it--the next hour of the show is a 100% better than the first.

Yeah, I figure if he ever clicks on my screen name, he's going to have a fit! LMAO
This thread has been the most fun on FR in a very long time.

The rumor is that she could be dumped for Debbie Gibson. Is she the one that did, 'You light up my life'? If so, did she ever have another top hit?

Wasn't that poor Karen Carpenter with "You Light Up My Life"?

Is she the one that did, 'You light up my life'? If so, did she ever have another top hit? Debbie had several teeny bopper hits that she wrote herself back in the late eighties. Debbie Boone did "You light up my life."

This has been a fun thread.
I've tried my best to make it hit 10,000 posts tonight, but now I have to go to bed.
BTW, jonny, what is the prize for the person with the ten thousandth post?

I kept thinking Debbie Boone but thought maybe Gibson was her married name or something. Debbie Gibson just doesn't ring a bell for me. Should, too, but doesn't.

I just saw the David Hasselhoff part.....very sweet. I thought that was nice, too. They made dreams come true even for those that didn't make the cut. Very nice of them.

Debbie Gibson did "Only In My Dreams" and another hit in about 1983-84. I think she's always been talented, and goes by "Deborah Gibson" now.

That was during some of my partying years but the song just doesn't come to mind. My folks owned a bar back then and I don't even recall the song on the juke box.

Hey, did Bush really say that?
"Give working Americans the same retirement plan as Congress!" - GW Bush 5/24/05)
I've thought that for many years.

Yes...
I saw him Tuesday AM. He was great! He was promoting his Soc Sec plan and said that, or pretty close to it.
He also repeated several times "Seniors, if you're already getting a check, you will still get your check." He said that the reason he keeps repeating it is because it's true, and it's contrary to what the propaganda (yes, he used that word) is saying.
