Carrie would make a great blues singer! I can almost hear her singing Elmore James "It Hurts Me Too". I think so too.

Hi, Oz! Long time, no see :)
Thanks for the compliments!

Well, then, this thread is a "spoiler" for our West Coasters. I wonder how many of them have the willpower not to log on here to find out who won in advance?

I think Carrie could sing just about anything. She still has some things to learn about her voice and how to use it, but she has such a lovely clear voice.
I'm very excited that she won. Have you been on this thread before?
It's been so much fun!

Local news just showed a clip of Bo from eleven years ago singing in a band called "Purge". Dang, he looked like a baby.

I watched the Jessica and Nick Tour of Duty the other night.
They are both so dull. Jessica much worse than Nick though. At least Nick can sing.
I'm not sure what to call that stuff Jessica does.
I just heard that George Huff is going to do a concert at some Houston Comets event.
I love George, but I think I'll skip that.

Hi beandog:
I just watched this season for the first time last night. Sorry, I'm a little bit late!
The way Carrie sang the "Angels" song last night struck a chord in me - it was more than good singing - I can't explain it. She is a country-blues-torch song-pop song sylist rolled into one.
I didn't know there was a thread for American Idol". Ooops, my bad!

Thanks. I'll go look it up in just a little bit. I was hoping they would charge her with something.

Make sure you let jonny know to put you on his ping list for next season. Everybody's welcome (especially Carrie fans). :)

Net, you just depressed me. I had started to come to terms with no AI, but I forgot that House is done for the season also. :-(

bues-torch-pop: I thought that too, and even said she reminds me of a very young Peggy Lee.

I like House also. The only good thing is I didn't start watching until a little late in the season so I can watch the repeats from the beginning of the season.

Ahh, I wish I had seen that. It was surreal. Bo looked like his own son, LOL!
