Clive was making a prediction and Carrie will be signed by BMG Thursday win or lose.

I admired Nikko for being called back after Mario Whatshisface dropped out of the competition. I was hoping he'd go farther than he did, but his song choices (and the way he sang them) bought him an early ticket home. At least he'll be able to tour with the Top Ten later this year.

all easily better than anything from Vonz this year.

Absolutely right.

You forget that Carrie - unlike a lot of country singing women - is an American Idol finalist.

That makes her cross-over country star!

There's a difference.

If she wins American Idol, she is up there in Shania Twain/Faith Hill recognition stakes.

THAT'S the difference.

It's all just a matter of taste...
Southern comfort with rock interlaced?
Or a sweet country cutie,
a bright smily beauty?
I'm a Bo fan myself...love that face!

Best one yet!

Absolutely right.

And you want a conspiracy theory? It was all by design. They didn't want anyone like the other great black singers. It was too much of a risk to what they hoped the results would be in the end. They needed someone to fit that role, but not someone too good at it.

"she is up there in Shania Twain/Faith Hill recognition stakes." You forgot to post a pic....Freeper rules. OK...I'll do it for ya! Best thing to come out of Candada since Moulson Beer.

It's a fix. Always was. SWF then SBM then SBF...gotta go SWM.

With word getting out about Bo's girlfriend being 3 months pregnant, he might not be SWM for much longer.

"-- all easily better than anything from Vonz this year."

Not to mention that Anwar sang the song Vonzell sang last night earlier in the season and did it a lot better.

I really liked Vonzell early in the season. But her habit of Fantasia style oversinging and screaching got on my nerves. She didn't sing like that during the first 6 weeks. Someone must have told her to imitate Fantasia if she wants to win. Bad advise.

I don't know why I liked Nikko, but I did. Most of the time anyway.

I thought Nikko was exciting to watch. He really put his whole body into his performances. Everyone thought he sang flat, but I think it was just his style. He was my favorite, but I can see where he wasn't everyone's cup of tea.

Are Carrie and Federov really an item? I must have missed that.

I'm relieved that it's down to Bo & Carrie... either way I'm happy with the winner.

The section about Carrie and Anthony starts here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/chat/1363125/posts?page=6813#6813

It covers about all that we know. I could also add that apparently the necklace Carrie wore last night and at her homecoming, which Anthony had at first, is a two-part necklace from id-jewelry, which Carrie has one half and Anthony has the other. I wasn't paying enough attention to see if she was wearing it tonight.

And, Anthony was shown at the end of the results show tonight. I'm not sure if he was asked to be there or was there for Carrie.
