The necklace Anthony bought for her...
Anthony is going to be on FNC tomorrow morning. I think Fox and Friends but not sure.
Now you can see what your daughter saw, too...
At Universal Studios, each with their caps on backwards...
Another from the set previously posted above (again, with her hand on his chest)...
From TV Guide...
Carrie links arms with Anthony, who is now wearing a curly blond wig underneath his Dodger cap and speaking in a thick Russian accent. "You are so dorky," Carrie says. But clearly she is amused.
Who knows, I guess. I think AI might want them to keep a lid on it until after the show is over, though they clearly knew something was going on because of the camera shots of her and him to the exclusion of Bo and Vonzell. Maybe during the final results show (should Carrie be in the finals, as is expected) they could use that opportunity to get more footage of the two of them interacting.
Local Idol Voted off AI, But It's His Love Life Getting the Attention.Local American Idol finalist Anthony Fedorov, 20, of Trevose, PA was sent packing Wednesday night but it wasn't he exit from the show that has most of America talking. Rather it was the surprising public outing of his, "secret," relationship with fellow AI contestant Carrie Underwood of OK. It's not surprising to see a small outpouring of emotion this late in the game from the remaining contestants when someone is sent home but the waterworks display put on by Underwood was reminiscent of a funeral for a lost lover.
Fedorov appeared complacent with his ejection and performed with a smile on his face but one look over to the sidelines showed someone who was not handling the results quite as well. Underwood went from cheerful at her own safety to a sobbing mess in the span of under 4 minutes when it was announced that it was Anthony getting sent home rather than the expected other female contestant Vonzell Solomon. It appeared the Underwood was attempting to get her emotions under control at one point before Fedorov began to sing his parting song, "If You Don't Know Me By Now," but finally lost control when Fedorov turn to face her and sang the words, "Well I might as well say goodbye." Underwood's tear ravished face was displayed high on the massive video screen behind the singing Fedorov where she clearly spoke and signed the words, "I love you," to him.
Well, some have said that this was just a display of close friendship between two amateurs being ripped apart by the mainstream music industry, others behind the scenes admit there is more to the story. Despite the fact the Fedorov has a girlfriend of two years who he has said he loves very much, sources on the set claimed that the love scandal this season had nothing to do with Paula Abdul.
One cameraman interviewed by our local Hollywood reporter said, "It was no secret to everyone behind the scenes that Anthony and Carrie were together romantically. We were all just told to keep it as far away from the public as possible. We were given strict orders to watch our camera angles and to move the live feed off of them while on stage if they seem to be slipping into a private moment. Any shots that could not be written off as a close friendship were to be avoided without fail. It wasn't until this weeks elimination show that we were given the green light to capture anything between them, and that's because the producers saw ratings drama when Carrie became emotional the way she did and it was only allowed after we knew we were close to the end of the live feed. The real emotional breakdown between them did not happen until after we were off the air, and Anthony finished his song with Carrie clung to him and him to her while the other two contestants stood back and tried to offer support."
Another Idol insider said, "Things happen behind the scenes that you try to keep hidden. While we don't encourage romantic relationships between the final 12, we also can not stop it from happening. They are in the privacy of their own apartments 14 hours a day, we can not logically control who sleeps where. We just try to keep it on the low down."
You sure found some good stuff GSC! You're right, that picture above is exactly the one that convinced my daughter that they were a couple. I called her in her to look at it and she said that's the shot that convinced her.
That last article you posted from Philly Music News is interesting. From the looks of the pictures, I tend to believe it don't you?
Thanks for the ping to these! They look very cute together.
Anthony is supposed to be on Fox and Friends at 8:50 am today.
Well, with Drake Clark apparently no longer Carrie's boyfriend and Irina apparently no longer with Anthony (in addition to the post she made about being scorned, she's asked the moderator of Anthony's forum to remove her address for receiving and processing fan mail for Anthony, leaving only one address for Anthony fan mail to be sent to), neither of which was true when the show began, something sure seems up.
I'm not really interested in the lovey-dovey side of this story. I acknowledge that they look the part in the way that Scott and Carrie wouldn't, though. It's the business side that intrigues me because of the fact that it surprises me that the producers hadn't already tried to set this sort of thing up before, since the relationship reality show is a very popular genre in its own right, and AI considers itself groundbreaking and cutting edge. They had tried in earlier seasons, if I recall, but they didn't really put the effort into getting the contestants to really hook up, like I imagine they did this time.
Hey did you happen to see Fox and Friends this morning? Anthony was on and they showed a clip of Simon. He didn't think Anthony should have been the AI but that Vonzelle was probably still there because of crying. They also said Simon really liked Anthony because he was able to take criticism and try to apply it. I hope he will be able to go further with a career. He seems like a really nice kid.
How are you doing?
Didn't get up early enough to see Fox this morning but local newspaper with article about Carrie said all the contestants will have 2 numbers to call to night. That might help some of us that can never get in.
The judges' selections...
Carrie: SHANIA TWAIN's "Man, I Feel Like a Woman"
Bo: ROLLING STONES' "Satisfaction"
Vonzell: DONNA SUMMER's "On the Radio"
Clive Davis' selections...
Carrie: ROY ORBISON's "Cryin'" (k.d. lang did the female cover of this, which Carrie will probably borrow)
Bo: ELTON JOHN's "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me"
Vonzell: DIONNE WARWICK's "I'll Never Love This Way Again"
Rumored Contestants' selections:
Carrie: MARTINA MCBRIDE's "Wild Angels"
Bo: BILLY JOEL's "It's Still Rock and Roll to Me"
Vonzell: BONNIE RAITT's "Something to Talk About"
He said in a radio interview that record companies have contacted him already and Paula said last week that all four of the Top 4 will get contracts, based on what record execs have said to her-- asking when exclusivity deals run out and such.
They should have done that during the Season 2 finale, when votes for Clay and Ruben were apparently so close.
Darn! I missed it. :-(
I can see the interest in the business side of the story, but I do love the romance part of it.
I'm such a girl..... :-)
Bo sings Billy Joel? I gotta bad feeling about that one.
Ahh. That's so sweet.
Those are good songs. I like all of them.
