I think he was best tonight. I shall vote for Bo, Carrie and maybe I'll throw a vote to Lt. Dan. Who watches House?

Same here, votes to Bo, Carrie and Lt. Dan. And we love house (but we're also Amazing Race addicts.. So I have to download the episode and watch it tomorrow.)

FYI..here's a link to an interesting MSNBC review of last night's show, and predictions on the bootee..they say it's either Nadia or Scott

My take, FWIW, and this is from someone who saw very little of the previous AI seasons, is that the overall talent this show is NOT as good as compared to a Kelly, Clay, or Reuben, but this season there are 5-6-7 who are pretty much comparable in their talent, and thus, it's a much more interesting competition. On this thread, there are forceful advocates for at least 5 of the contestants..

Tonight Anwar not only sang another girlie song...he had cleavage!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I said to my husband, "That guy totally waxes and greases up his chest." The thing that bothers me about Anwar is that he sings the same type of song every single week and the judges NEVER call him on it. Everyone else they always come out with, "You are playing it safe...blah blah blah", but they never tell him that.

I think Nadia is going home tonight. She has a great voice, but has been pretty forgettable.

And, please, Paula- get help! Oh lawd, she was higher then a kite last night. I mentioned to my husband that I was surprised that she didn't get out a lighter during Freebird. He said, "They probably don't let her near lighters or anything sharp." LOL!!

I also noticed that the only song she didn't dance around like a drunken prom date to was Carrie's number.

I agree and I think part of that is because they raised the age limit, which really cut down on the boy-band/teen diva clones this year. The first season of AI was filled with that type, both male and female, and if it wasn't for Kelly Clarkson the show would've been a complete joke.

She was just killing me last night! During the big Ruben and Clay finale Seacrest asked if the judges had any advice for them and Paula went on this slurred rant about how they shouldn't listen to anyone because they were stars and the world was at their feet and on and on and on. Seacrest just had to cut her off, because she wouldn't shut up.

I know. She's definitely on something. I mean, last week she said she was falling in love with Lt. Dan! No one in their right mind would say that :)

If you're interested, here's a year-old article that will tell you everything you want to know about "Scooter Girl".

Was I the only one who found her annoying? On the scale of annoying 1 being Carrie, 10 being Mykayla- I put Scooter Girl around a 7 1/2. She gets a few points taken off because she acknowledged her annoyingness.

No, you're not the only one. She was definitely up there with Mikalah. But unlike Mikalah, Scooter Girl knew she was annoying--and she was a better singer, too, from what I remember. I was surprised she was booted so early.

Dumb question here:
Why do so many folks reference "bringing out a lighter"
every time they talk about the song "Free Bird?"

I'm soooo ready for 24 more minutes of commercials and promos in a 60 minute program

You MUST get TIVO or your cable's DVR service!!! I'll never watch another commercial. You record everything and watch it an hour later. It's the only way to watch TV!

I watch HOUSE! I didn't like it at first because he's so unappealing. Plus, some of it is just preposterous...do you really think they'd allow a Dr. to pop vicodin all day long while seeing patients (in front of them, no less).

That being said, the show has grown on me. It's kinda interesting and you learn things about diseases. They're trying to soften his character up a bit by having the girl in love with him. But he's just so damn ornery!

Freebird is one of those "Concert" songs. Everyone in the crowd would take out a lighter and raise it up in the air when the song was played.
It's a standard joke to mention the "lighter" when songs like that one are played.

BTW....I've found a way to figure out who's going to be voted off (and how the votes are going).
AOL (America Off Line) has a poll which appears to mirror the actual vote. (They've been pretty close with the past 4 weeks.
Here's the results:
1) Bo - 37%
2) Carrie - 25%
3) Lt. Dan - 15%
4) Vonzell - 5%
5) Anwar - 5%
6) Anthony - 5%
7) Nadia - 4%
8) Slingblade - 4%

Last week they had Scott and Nikko as the bottom 2.
The only week they were wrong was with Jessica and she was 3rd from the bottom.

Spoiled? Maybe, I just hate all the commercials. I also watch the Gilmore Girls so I flip back & forth.

I must read the results show on this thread as I find the results show unwatchable.
