Remember Scooter girl from last year? She was really good too.

Yeah, I liked her too, but I can't remember what kind of singing voice she had. All I remember was the scooter. Now Opera Girl--her voice left an impression.

If pure, natural vocal talent means anything, Carrie should win easy.

The toning it down a little was the problem. I'm not sure she could manage it. Too bad she didn't make it into the final 12, though, because that's when the AI make-over artists kick in. I sure would love to have seen what they would do with her. She'd have given the show a spice it hasn't had this year. I know Lt. Dan tries, but romancing the camera and mic just don't do it for me.

Good for Carrie! I'm proud of her.

Carrie came out with a bang! What a powerful voice. I thought she was fantastic. Nobody in this competition can compare to her vocally.

I don't know why they keep ragging on the stage presence thing. After all, aren't these supposed to be amateurs trying to get their big break? The stage presence will come.

Wow, what am I missing? Nadia not only looked hot, she sounded hot! I beginning to think there is a conspiracy by the show to get her off sooner rather than later. Is it because she belongs to a Christian band?

Jonny and I both agree. We've discussed this before. Stage craft can be learned, but talent like that is born in a person. I hope Carrie wins, and the only thing I would worry about for her long-term success is that the AI people might try to push her into being a pop tart instead of the natural country star she could become.

Exactly right. Carrie already has the essentials: great voice, great looks, and a great personality. Everything else is secondary.

I would love to have seen such a final. Two really talented young amateurs appealing to different audiences going head to head. Would have been great.
