With my Mac I could close the top open browser window with a Ctrl W command. No such command on a PC ? Am I going to wear out my track pad, or am I confused

On the PC, you can use Alt - F4 to close the currently active window.

It's all Bill Gates' fault. He is evil.

Funny thing, I'm going the opposite way! My powerbook is on its way from a nearly lifelong windows user! ;)

My third Mac, iMac expired 6 years to the day I bought it. My third. The power supply suffered an awful death, I was able to reset the power management chip and get it restarted thought it shortly made the another awful sound. It was not worth the money to repair

Interesting tid bit, I dont believe I've kept a computer that long, personally (I think the record is about 5 years for me).

I am pretty much getting the powerbook to gain experience on mac's so I can add it to my resume.

Don't be surprised if your Dell laptop doesn't last even a third of that time. I have a client who insists on buying the things. A lot of times they don't even make it out of warranty.

I used an old iBook SE for five years until I recently upgraded to a Powerbook G4. You should have gotten an iBook or Mac mini.
