Er... you know the felt is the real water proofing, the shingles are just to shed water and debris. Mine has one that is about 24ish years old and on places looks pretty bad. The good part is that the lack of felt will not add any more time for you. Honestly roofing is pretty easy. Just takes some time. I did half a house by myself in highschool over several weekends. We did the second half all at once as a family. As long as the roof is easy to get up on it is a pretty easy job. Just time consuming and a bit hot. Working in early mornings and evenings is the way to go.

Yeah, we know that, that's why I called the builder a bastige!! We didn't realize he hadn't put it on there until we lost a few shingles During a HUGH wind storm. Fortunately we had a stack of shingles in the basement that were left from construction, so we just stuck them up there.

Yeah, you'll have a hard job, but you won't have to be so far up in the air to do it!
