Sigh... Zelazny...

I rec'd the Amber books for my 12 year old brother. Dad's going to re-read to check them over. Hope he thinks the bother's ready.

I don't even know who Bart Starr is/was.

Let's see, I discovered Zelazny in '76 or '77; found and read a hardcover copy of "The Hand of Oberon" in our local library. Liked it so much that the next time I got to the nearest bookstore (100 miles away) I bought every Zelazny paperback I could find that looked as if it was part of the Amber series. Wound up with the four that were in paperback ("The Courts of Chaos" wasn't out yet) as well as "Lord of Light" and "Doorways in the Sand" (they had similar cover designs, you see).

I was 12 or 13 at the time.

Oh, Bart Starr was quarterback of the Green Bay Packers during the 60s, when they won five championships and two Super Bowls (aka "The Lombardi Era").
