Reckon I could find a cayenne-pepper powder flavored suet?I'm not sure that exists. But my suet feeder is on the end of a shepherd's staff with a "squirrel collar" around it. And I have a small aluminum foil pan bashed around the top of the suet cage. It deters larger birds through intimidation, while small ones don't mind it. I've got nuthatches and downy woodpeckers visiting it regularly.
I'll try to get a picture of the setup posted some time.

Isn't suet sticky? Why couldn't you just sprinkle a little cayenne right on it?
