Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Goood morning!

Anwar was the "elf" of the bunch. When he was outed 3 weeks ago, I knew he was on borrowed time. Oh really? Outed as what - dare I ask? I haven't invested much attention in this season and haven't kept track of all the gossip.

Mornin'
Blessed be the mods. Those pics aren't loading this morning. Although would that maybe be because they aren't in my cache here? I R ignorant of these things.
Other news...
Jr's girlfriend is po'd at him for something he didn't do. On his "My Space" website another friend (a girl) signed off saying "love ya" so gf gots mad at Jr. She has fits like that a lot. I told the Missus what Jr. should do is dump her now, save the $200 he's gonna spend on her prom and get interested in someone else on choir tour...'course, bein' 16 and smitten, he ain't gonna listen.
Nana news - Dr's visit weren't so hot yesterday. He said he ~thinks~ the new joint will work. To paraphrase Master Yoda, "There is no think. DO."
Plus, her supplemental insurance got all goobered up. We think it's their fault because they didn't get the address change right so we didn't get the notice there was a problem with the automatic withdrawal of the premium from an account in North Carolina. Wife was assured it was reinstated before the surgery. But yesterday the notice came that it wasn't because of her hospital stay when she fell. Insurance would allow her to stay longer in rehab (which she needs). Otherwise, when Medicare runs out, she's out. Wife is calling today. We won't take this one lightly.

Good morning... "think-do" sounds unpleasant.
No work here today, so I have about 8-10 errands to run. And, we're off...

Good morning! Busy day today. Yesterday we went off in search of furniture, and found bookshelves we both wanted and a desk for me. It's a rolltop - something I've always wanted! Reproduction, of course...but I like it, and since I have a laptop instead of a regular computer, I can get away with it... Lots of nice hidey-holes for ink bottles and notebooks and pens!
Those are all being delivered this morning - by noon, in any case. And then at two is the interview I keep harpin' on. I'll post my feelings on that as soon as I get back! They're interviewing a dozen people or so, so I dunno how my chances are...but you never know! I doubt they'll be letting people know immediately if they're in or not, though that'd be nice.
Yesterday while we were out on our furniture quest, I got a call from my newly married brother. They're driving across country for their honeymoon - moving to NH. I hadn't thought they were coming this way, and I don't think it was planned that way originally, but apparently since they were too early in the year to drive through Yellowstone, they've taken considerable detours and ended up coming down I-25 to get to I-70. We met up for an hour or so to chat and go over the wedding and all that. Really good to see them! Heh...they still hadn't gotten quite all of the white shoe polish off the car...

Do you know of a website or something where it is public info about what's going on with units?
Good morning! Steve came home a little early last night, I got a bottle of my cholesterol medicine and had a glass of that.
Calmed me right down! ;-)
