Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

My bust is not so big that it has ever impeded me ;~D

Well, yes, they are evil, but not wearing one is just as uncomfortable as wearing one. I have to sleep in them sometimes.

I consider 'em a necessary evil, though.

It's been awhile since that picture was posted!
And I'm OK with that. Very OK!
Heh...remember when someone posted it as 2J was showing the Hobbit Hole to a homeschooling friend of hers? Eek!

There are older and fouler things than Orcs in the deep bras of the world.

Speaking of uncomfortable underwear.... how did the torture device and the dress work for the wedding?

OK, I guess. I definitely was thinner when I originally measured for the dress, and I was intensely aware of that. Didn't help that the other bridesmaids (as opposed to the matrons of honor) were both little bitty things whose dresses were almost hanging off of them - probably had the tiniest size, and it wasn't small enough...doubt either of them weighed over a hundred pounds...MAYbe a hundred and ten soaking wet. I looked like a galoot.
And we wore the dang things all the way through the reception. I think I was oxygen deprived by the end of the day - couldn't hardly breathe! ;-)
Hopefully if I'm ever a bridesmaid again, we'll get to wear something a bit less restrictive...like, say, cotton sacks...

Well, I sympathize... I've always had to buy bridesmaid's dresses that I felt particularly uncomfortable and unattractive in... strapped down so tight I felt like a pig in shrink-wrap.
I had one chance to get revenge... and I didn't ;~D It's just not in me ;~D
To: RosieCotton
I think if I get married I shall make my bridesmaids wear sacks ;-)

strapped down so tight I felt like a pig in shrink-wrap. LOL! Yep, that's about it!
I probably shoulda just ordered one size larger than I did...but highsight is 20/20, and I didn't know how disrupted my life was about to become...
