Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Luckily I had a) my laptop, and b) a wireless card, so they were able to get pretty much everything they needed either off of CDs or off iTunes or some such. Hurray! Rosie to the rescue!

Your co-worker is absolutely wrong. I figured as much. I know in my church, and in most churches I've been a part of, communnion has been offered to all who profess faith in Christ. But I also know that we view it as symbolic rather than actual transubstantiation. And I actually thought about Kerry during the process.

I was...I remember! I was missin' Steve something fierce right then!
Good morning, everyone...Just reading over last night's conversation...

I'll be 60 or thereabouts, think they have a 'geezer' rate? Well, we're doin' it for my 50th birthday, so I hope so.
I hate missin' Shoot Moot too. I was lookin' forward to meetin' y'all.

Mornin'
Purty day here. Even better that I think boss troll and Rapsutin ~may~ be out today. They were supposed to go to a conference in DC on Sunday night, but cancelled yesterday because of the funeral.
Speakin' of funerals. Wife and I have another one to be attendin' later this week. Diane Knippers was a personal friend. She was head of the Institute on Religion and Democracy. They're a HUGH player in the fight against the liberalization of mainstream churches. She's been in the news a lot recently over debates in the Anglican church. She was featured not long ago in Time as one of the 25 most influential evangelicals.

It just gets to be way too complicated to get there. So much in my life is out of control, I need to keep a handle on the things I can.

Good morning! Sorry for your friend, Corin.
Nice day here, too.... I think I'm going to be doing some more mowing out in the pasture today.
To: g'nad
Mmmm...torque limiter plates.
Hope you get a turkey soon. If not, my brother gave me a coupon for $15 off a Butterball for my birthday...I can contribute that for Shootmoot!

It's not looking good, chica.
Going through some tough times lately and the money just ain't there. :-(
I'm still holding out hope that something will happen financially, but even so, my mom needs me right now and I may not feel comfortable leaving her with with the kids for that weekend.
We'll see.
