The Hobbit Hole XX - And take the hidden paths that run...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 03/05/2005 11:51:13 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And take the hidden paths that run...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

mmmmmmmmm... Brownells...

I've paid $50 for a specialized tool to do something, rather than $50 to a gunsmith. When I was done, I had the tool, had the experience, and it still cost me the same.

Brownells is also almost the sole source for some really exotic accessories, like the single-set triggers on my Remington 700s. And the digital trigger-pull gauge to check them.

You around? What time should I start the meat? We were gonna run to the grocery (walk, actually), and I'm deciding whether to do it now or after we get back.

I'll have to see them this evening!

Argh, the computer I spent hours wrestling with last week is acting up again. It wants Windows completely reinstalled...

Oh, I think if you start it by three it'll be fine. But now is fine too.

Guess we might as well do it now. The whole package? And do you usually just use the little skillet?

The whole package, and I usually put it in a big pot, like your spaghetti pot.

Great!

The salsa's in the cabinet over the microwave - use the whole jar of the medium stuff - and the crockpot is in the cabinet below the microwave. Just stir it all up and let it cook and check it every few hours.

I suppose now would be a really irritating time to tell ya that patience is a virtue? ;-)

Hope they get back to you soon! Praying that it turns out well!

OK, it's started...and we're off to the grocery, and possibly to look at furniture.
