New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |

Still round the corner there may wait |

Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Roger that. Fun toys.
Fiesty today, ain't ya? ;-)
Jen is off to anime club...Margaret and I bowed out this time. We'll probably crash early. The kitties now have a scratching post, toys, and a new heavy ceramic water bowl to replace the one that broke in the parking lot here. *sigh* I'd had that for years! Silly the things we get attached to. I have to have a heavy one, though...Halvah scoots and tips light ones.
I'm hoping Jen isn't getting reallllly tired of my yammering about my cats...
I picked up an application for Barnes & Noble today. Dunno if I'll actually submit it...but it's an option, I suppose, as are some of the other stores within walking distance - just for temporary jobs, I mean. I'm feeling a bit discouraged right now on that subject. The e-mail I hadn't checked since I had been off-line contained a message from one place telling me "no thanks" and nothing positive. I'm sure God will provide...but it's scary having nothing right now.
It's not nice of me, but the animal control guy's scream cracked me up...kind of reminiscent of the elf screams in TT. :-)
You know.... pinky probably is a very loving cat... That's what cats do when you take them outside in a strange environment with someone they don't know and put him on a leash!
oh - and then have some other moron try to stuff him in a box!
If I give him any less... he fights ear handling like we are really trying to kill him. It's not that he just doesn't feel like cooperating, it's uncontrollable panic... like that cat ;~D
Yeah, guess we can all get crazy sometimes when people mess with us. That guy was definitely trying to herd a cat, which is only done with the cat's express permission and inclination, which is rare.
I guess!
I think B and N sounds like a good temp job!
I'm logging off...wanted to say good night to everyone before Steve gets home.
See ya, all!
I love that one... they did another one... building an airplane in flight. Classic.
Hi Rosie! SO glad you made it safe and sound. :-D
Temp secretarial jobs are always terrific for quick and relatively easy money. Here's one right in Fort Collins. Pays up to $15 bucks an hour full time.
I should probably check those as well...though I'm not very confident in my organizational skills!
That one is better pay than what I was making in technical work, though. Hmmm...
That's good ;~D
Organizational skills are no biggie. They just want to be sure that you'll know where to find something when they ask for it.
And most temp secretarial jobs I've come across have turned into something permanent if they like you.
Which they undoubtedly will. *smile*
*gag*
If that turns out to be the truth...that's just...reprehensible. I don't even have words.
EEEEEWWWWW!!!
It was a set up.
If she did this, I wouldn't lift a finger to help her.
I guess I can add those to my list o' jobs-to-try-for.
Until now, the getting here has been my overwhelming worry...so now that that's done (yippee!), I'm moving on to new worries.
There's always something!
