The Hobbit Hole XX - And take the hidden paths that run...
The Freeper Hobbit Hole ^

Posted on 03/05/2005 11:51:13 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And take the hidden paths that run...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I've got a choice: turkey, a crustless quiche-like concoction , or the beans.

BTW if you want a colorful bean dish with black, red, and white beans, don't soak them all together.

Hehehe. Didn't the guy know that putting a cat on a leash is a series breach of cat etiquette?

Those are cool shows to go to. I recall getting lots of cool stuff at the last one I went to. Let's see Glock neck strap with clip for holding ID cards, Hornady bullet on a key ring, S&W key ring...sigh, that was a GOOD show. :-)

Hair, glad to hear that Homer is on the mend, he sure looked like the 'I've had some haaard travelin' Lord" poster dog last night.

Gypsygirl waves paw and tells Homer to get well soon.

Well, I had to get him all drunk this morning to get the goop in his ears.... and he is just coming back around this afternoon from the sedative, and we'll have to knock him out again. It's too bad the sedative lasts so long, because I really only need him compliant for about 30 seconds.

His memory of this week will be a little vague.

That seems too bad, getting stoned and wondering where the week went. Can you give him half a pill instead?
