Remember, you can always come up a bit on your offer, if they're willing to come down a bit on their price.

Along with "location, location, location" is "negotiate, negotiate, negotiate"!

Maybe...though we'd be coming in on the middle of a series, no?

Thinking...how weird are the anime types? ;-)

We're currently raiding the fridge - it's already almost two our time, so we're hungry! I highly approve of the taco meat...

I wouldn't say her time working on the flyer was wasted... the only way to get better at something is through doing it, so if nothing else she gained experience by working on it.

Me too! I think I've had enough driving for a lifetime or two!

Parts of it were rather nice, though. Didn't go as close to the hugh cities as I'd imagined we would. Omaha, surprisingly, was probably the worst. Near Cleveland, too, though that was mostly my fault. I missed the I-90 branch-off and we ended up on an expressway to Columbus. Seemed like ages before we found an exit. All's well that ends well, I guess!

Hang in there, the first one almost never works out...

Going to be doing that here too in the near future...

Did the weather behave most of the time?

Heh, I love driving... would have driven up to WeddingMoot, if we had had the time.

We had fog and rain most of the first day, but that wasn't interstate driving, so it wasn't too bad - no big trucks to deal with in the wet. And in PA, we drove through an area that had been hit the night before with a hugh snow storm, but it was cleared up pretty well. No snow on the roads or anything, for sure. The only downside was that in the town we planned to stop (Erie, PA), all the hotels were booked because utility and repair crews from around the state were there helping with the aftermath. We ended up in eastern Ohio instead.

Details eh? Well I am out of space in my apartment and I have no room for a shop. So I need a house. Mainly I am looking at older stuff like built in the '20s. There is a lot around town like that many of which are nicely updated and in great shape. I don't some fixeruping but it has to have the potential there. I have been looking for about a month now. Seen some stuff that are possibilities but that one yesterday was the first that pretty much had all I want. Unfortunately it has a sale pending that my agent did not know about at the time. That might fall through though so it is still in the running.

Congratulations, Rosie!! You two should be very proud of yourselves, having safely finished a very long trip across unfamiliar territory.

How did the cats handle traveling?

The cats did great! They just snoozed...we put a blanket over the boxes in the back and Tam mostly rode back there and watched the road behind us, and Halvah slept in the crate or behind the seat. Occasionally they both crowded into the crate. No one got sick or frantic. Halvah got upset if the tunes ever stopped, but other than that, they were fine.

Tam had wayyyyy too much pent up energy the first night though. He's lucky we didn't strangle him by about two in the morning. He wanted to play and play and play. Gah!

Middle of one series - see the "Bleach" manga on my shelf? That series. We've also been watching two random anime per week.

Glad you enjoy the taco meat! I hope to eat lunch soon, presuming I get this one computer's total spontaneous malfunction corrected.

Looks like y'all got to Colorado at just the right time. And apparently we can forget Ms. St. Helens.

According to the Discovery Channel Yellowstone is what we have to worry about (Sunday night at 8 p.m.).

Even here, I'm supposed to get an inch of ash. So it'll prolly happen once I finally get up all the leaves...

True. It was a good flyer and she was proud of her efforts. I didn't tell HER her time was wasted, that was my initial opinion. ;o) Everything is a learning experience, I guess!

LOL!! When we went out to Yellowstone year before last, they had just noticed the bulge in the lakebed. One of the days we went into the park, a couple of the areas on the east side of the park were closed because the ground was getting too hot!

The caldera location is marked on the park map, but you don't even need that to see it. There is a noticeable change in vegetation and ground color when you're over the caldera compared to just outside the boundaries of it.
