Mary Poppins is great. All the songs are memorable and singable. Not bad for Disney at all.

Is there some kind of contest going on to see how many opus threads can be posted in one day?
Sheesh.
No wonder I come straight in here when I visit FR.

Apparently there is some kind of contest... appropriate for an April Fool's Day, I think! ;)
Good evening!

I'm thinking of taking Clare and Joseph to see it this weekend.Ohhh, no. No, no, no... I would not recommend that. Not until they're 30... maybe 35. More full explanation to be posted shortly...

I just want to take this opportunity that I will not be posting again on FR....
Much. Tomorrow. Because I need to celebrate my personal victories and triumphs of the past week, and get away from the ghoulishness of the news in general; because it's a light homework weekend; and because every time I look at the forecast I like it better. My destination?

Royal Gorge, Colorado. If I don't get that far I'll stop at Pike's Peak.

I fell down a boulder at Royal Gorge in June, 1969 and tore a gash in my knee! I had ridden up to CO with some folks I didn't even know, to attend my brother's graduation from the USAF Academy. I was with a young woman whose fiancee was graduating with Gerry. She had arranged for a ride with these folks and asked my Mama if either my sister or I could go along.
The folks decided to stop at Royal Gorge before we went on into Colorado Springs. I'm afraid my spill cut short their visit. They drove me to one of the instructor's homes, where I was to meet my brother. He was late getting there, so I sat there in pain waiting. What a bummer! Still have a scar from that!
Cool place, though.

It was my own stoopid fault. It was early June, and we had driven up from MS, so I was wearing sandals, and they were NOT designed for climbing up onto rocks! If you're wearing sneakers, you'll be fine.
