Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'm planning on leaving momentarily, but don't want to be away from news. Also fighting being choked up.

Margaret's bringing that one with us. I don't like their newer CD as much, though it does kinda grow on you.

Drive safely. Check in when you can. And, for heaven's sake, have a good time.
We'll be here when you get "home."

Sorry for you Rosie. I hope that the pope you love has peace soon, and that the new pope will also bring you comfort and solid leadership.
The news of the coming weeks will give us all a fresh look at your very familiar traditions. I know for you this loss is very personal, but I am actually enjoying the insight into Catholic traditions, and the marvelous history and magnificent architecture and beauty of the Catholic churches on my television screen. MSNBC has been showing scenes from the Vatican and other beautiful cathedrals all morning.
To: RosieCotton
Check in with me periodically on the trip. I'll be praying for your peace of mind about all of this. :-)

I can't find enough confirmation, but according to a thread hear, Fox News and Drudge, the Pope has gone "home."

I've seen those threads, too. I'm not Catholic but I have great respect for someone like him who stands up to tyrants and secularists and Satan himself. They are rare and I'll mourn his passing.
To: Lil'freeper
Agreed. A loss even for non-Catholics because there aren't enough decent people in the world.

Now the threads are saying the Vatican is saying he's still alive.
I hate the media.
