heh...heh...how's that joke go?
Jews don't recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
Protestants don't recognize the Pope.
And Baptists don't recognize each other in the liquor store...
heh... yer a single-digit midget...
Not sure...it's either the crown or the filling that needs redo-ing. Need one of each on the left side....he did rights last year.
Nah...that was just the visit to the driver's license office. Don't see Dr. Z until 9:30.
*grin*
Yep!
Four days and a wake-up!
Glad you liked it.
Let's just say that will be my last discussion of religion for the day...
I'm dreaming about my eventual trip to Scotland. It won't be for at least another 10 years, but I will go.
Scotland
New Zealand
Australia
Places I want to visit before I die. In that order.
But Scottish tours are VEY expensive. The one I ~really~ want to go on is almost 3 grand for 7 nights, not including airfare. It'll take me 10 years just to save that much. LOL!
I have to get my vehicle info together and go get a new license for the Highlander. Should have done it earlier in the month but I didn't find the notice until I was paying bills yesterday afternoon. Oops!
Yes, your boxes have begun to arrive.
I think the temp/low-stress job sounds like it might be a good idea! There are firms that do secretary temp sort of positions, one of my friends worked for them one summer.
Bilbo's goin' to Scotland this summer. *sigh* I'd love to go.
And engaged brother spent two months in New Zealand. Even met a few orcs. ;-)
My own adventures seem a bit puny in comparison.
Oh well. :)
Got to go now...oh joy.
I agree with Suzi...starting thinking of a plan to get away and on your own while you still speak. Sometimes convenient isn't worth it...
Living with people is hard, even when you're married to 'em. Last night Steve came home all in a snit over some little thing I did and wouldn't speak to me. He made, ahem, a major error in judgement.
The difference between Steve and my mother is that I can point out the error and Steve will apologize. He's been writing me all this morning talking about the Bug, because he knows it makes me happy to talk about it and I can't stay mad.
rummage...rummage...rummage...somewhere around here I've got an article I once wrote about my "things I want to do before I die list."
As I get older, it's been modified slightly. "Hike the Grand Canyon" has been replaced by "Raft the Grand Canyon."
It's funny tho. I told my Mom the other day that we'd decided to let Jr. go back to Brazil since his heart was set on that.
She said "He'll get over it. You got over not going to Spain, didn't you?"
Actually no, Mom, I never did. Funny how, 30 years later, that still stings.
Good morning everyone! Welcome back, Hair!
It's really sunny out and the wind is still blowing like crazy.
LAUNDRY DAY! heh heh!
Bilbo is so lucky to be going! Be sure he shares pictures with you so you can share them with us!
Celtic Dream Tours actually has a tour based on one of my favorite book series. That's the one I would love to take.
It's expensive, but I wouldn't want to go cheaper. If I'm gonna go, I'm gonna make the most out of it!
The fact is that I can't afford to move out on my own until Alyson is in school. The cost of living here is sky-high and paying for full-time preschool/daycare would put me WAY past my budget.
Two more years though....
Two more years.....
It'll go by fast...
You can just hang with us in the mean time.
;-D
It's so true. There are things that you don't "get over". You will always regret and maybe even resent it.
You can carry that all your life and it shapes your own parenting style as well.
Becky gets treated quite differently than I was as a child. She gets more explanation as to "why" she cannot or must do certain things and I do indulge her whenever possible.
It may bite me in the rear later on in life, but knowing how much it hurts to consistently be refused what you enjoy - I simply cannot put her through it just because it's inconvenient or boring to me.
Sounds like a wonderful plan!
