Give it a try anyway. You don't want to go around with a broken tooth for a week.
Same deal there. Wednesday at the earliest.
Guess I gotta live with it.
Sheesh. That just doesn't sound right. I thought dentists kept a slot open during the day for emergencies, which this certainly is.
Take care of yourself...
Apparently around here all dental offices close at one on Fridays, too. Or don't open at all.
No wonder they're booked so far out.
I don't think they think this is that big of a deal. I guess this doesn't qualify as an emergency, since I didn't actually LOSE a tooth and I'm not bleeding. And I guess I can see that viewpoint.
Of ALL the times for this to happen! It's not fair!
Sorry, chica.
I can't understand how any dentist would think it acceptable to let a person walk around with a broken tooth for any length of time. :-(
That's actually a guy, right? ;-)
It's South Park Legolas!
Not fair at all! I sympathize...
Ugh, still exhausted. I have a feeling this will be one of those days - the "sneak downstairs at 11 for another bottle of Diet Dr Pepper" sorts.
LOL! It look like Celebron too. ;-D
Off to lunch...
(I'm thinking of escaping this joint...)
I like Boromir the best.
And I'm getting really sick of boxes and tidying.
Where's Mary Poppins when you need her? Yeesh.
No kidding, my apartment's such a dump... I've got to get some boxes this weekend. And wash my clothes....
It's a double caffeine kinda day...
At least I have a closing date. That makes me feel much better.
It's on the same day as my dentist's appointment. Hopefully I won't have a mouthful of gauze... ;-)
On the bright side, we're allowed to take sick time for dental appointments. MAYBE I can get away with just taking a sick day, rather than using vacation time. I imagine people'd look the other way. Whether my conscience would let me do it may be another matter, though.
I hope this doesn't cost a fortune!
Hey, I have a question to ask you!
At what temperature is egg considered "cooked"? I made some rice pudding that just turned out delicious, but it was starting to get a bit curdled when I removed it from the heat. I coulda removed it earlier, but don't know when it's actually "cooked".
Here's my recipe...just something I threw together...
1 C milk
1/2 C sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
A bunch of cooked rice, maybe 2 cups? (I just used what I had left over)
1/2 cup raisins
Stir all together in a saucepan over medium heat until it thickens.
You have sick time, you're permitted to use sick time - what's the dilemna?
Oh, right before I removed it from the heat, I added a generous tsp of vanilla..meaning I poured it in till it slopped over the edge of the tsp.
I mean...instead of taking the hour or two that I'd be out for the dentist appt, I could take the day, so I wouldn't have to take a half vacation day for the closing.
That's the dilemna.
You'll be at the dentist. That makes you sick. Plus if you're like me you'll get worked up before getting there, adding to the stress and misery and making it a legitimately sick day.
Enabler...
