Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And take the hidden paths that run...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Just to add a Corin element to my day...
One of my molars just more or less cracked in two. One with a filling...part broke off. Great, huh? Wasn't even eating anything THAT hard, so it must be in bad shape.
*sigh*
They can't get me in until next Wednesday. Hope they can do something permanent, or this'll be really bad.

Actually, I haven't found one yet. But I'm thinkin' about it.
Since I'm usin' frequent flyer miles for the flight, I can be a ~little~ more spendy on the car.

Yikes!
Are you in pain? Keep some Orajel (or something similar) handy over the weekend, just in case.

Not in pain yet, but I think the nerves right there are shot anyway. It's one down from I had a rather brutal wisdom tooth removal by an elderly Navy doc.
Haven't tried anything hot or cold, though. Maybe better stick to soft room temperature foods. Bleh.

Well, I ain't picky so go ahead and find a deal.
But you won't hear me complaining if it's a bit flashy. :-D

That's terrible, Rosie!
I can't believe they can't see you until next week. IMHO, this should be considered as an emergency!

I'm not afraid of Dwarves.
Now, if you ask an Elf to be "flashy"...

Well...it isn't horribly open or sore, but I'm still thinking of calling another clinic. But I've never been anywhere else around here!

BTW, we have a definite closing date - just delayed one day. The afternoon of the 16th. Not bad!

Mornin!
We have an air mattress. When I was expecting Bittygirl, and could no longer tolerate our regular mattress, I slept on the air mattress. I figured out that in order to not sweat or freeze I had to either wrap myself in the blanket/covers or sleep on top of a blanket. I.E. have the blanket or some covers between me and the mattress to form a blanket sandwich, so to speak.

Speaking of air mattress...Jr. lost the power cord to the pump on his Aerobed.
Note to self: Gotta get him a new one before choir tour.

Call someone else and get in there! That's not a good thing!
Mornin'. I decided to sleep in.... I only have to put in about four hours today and don't have to leave for the concert until three or four. I'm excited!

I'm calling around. Everywhere else says "a couple of weeks". So...looks like I'm stuck. I'm just being told to use salt water. Yay. Thanks a lot, folks.

Par for the course around here. It's the same for eye care. There aren't THAT many doctors per the population.
There's one more I can call, but I don't recognize the name. Makes me a little nervous.
