Schadenfreude
N/A

Posted on 03/03/2005 10:23:50 AM PST by Right Wing It

I was unaware up until this point that there was a German word meaning "happiness at the misfortune of others" The Word is "SCHADENFREUDE". What makes it ironic is that it is the only national language in the world to have a word for such a subject. Who else thinks there should be an American word for this?

That sounds like somebody with a mouthful of chewing gum trying to say "Scott and Frieda."

That is a great insight into modern German pronounciation.

Heck, no, we're still on topic.

M: Yes, but I came here for an argument!!
A: OH! Oh! I'm sorry! This is abuse!
M: Oh! Oh I see!
A: Aha! No, you want room 12A, next door.
M: Oh...Sorry...
A: Not at all!
A: (under his breath) stupid git.
