Wanted to invite you Freepers to send in your pet pic and win money!
The saga of my run-in with PetsMart is part of the following Blog post but you don't have to read it.
But the details of submitting your pet pic are also IN THIS POST. Isn't it about time your pet made YOU some money?
My cats were doing 'it' in the dining room last night. I asked my daughter if I should get the camera.... I thought cats did it in private!?!?!
Darn! You didn't get a pic? It would be a winner.
Second, you mentioned that your most recent horrendous shopping experience was on a weekday. Did you happen to see a large group of employees hanging about doing nothing at all?
Third--IIRC, the store you dropped your dime at was in Maryland, correct? Does Maryland happen to have a state-mandated minimum wage above the national $5.15?
There is a point to these questions. No, I have never worked for PetsMart.
nnoooo, they've had cuter moments. lol
I still miss the neurotic little bugger.
I have worked very little retail in my life. But some.

In fact I did. Three cashiers were standing around trying to look busy. And you know what? I didn't expect those cashiers to bring in the carts. I DO think they could have notified someone about the lack of carts. They are right up in the front and at that time they weren't busy.

No. Maryland does not have a minimum wage beyond federal.
I'm interested in your point. Because you'll have to do some real talking to convince me that the MANAGEMENT at this store was doing their job. I did mention it's almost always the case when I go to that store-the cart problem-but did not document it.
No, I do not blame the workers, even the cashiers frankly. They are the ones doing all the work. I do blame the manager, who probably makes thrice what the minimum wagers do, and who didn't have enough sense to have the cashiers monitor the cart situation.
But hey, I still think I was right and I bet there are carts in front of that store and I bet that no one had to do a whole lot of extra work beyond keeping an eye out and determine when to haul in the carts in the corrale right across the street.
It's laziness by MANAGEMENT, pure and simple.
Folks, You CAN send me your cutie's pic via Freepmail.
