Sometimes I feel like it gets hung up on something. Does anyone know what the problem is?

No problems here.

Have you down loaded the newest version?

No problems here. Be sure to download Spybot Search and Destroy (find it using a search engine lookng for Spybot. Spybot is shareware). Spybot will help if you have tracking cookies or other software on your PC that is there "to enhance your internet experience", and I've found such software really slows down my PCs.

If he's actually running the latest version of Mozilla (not Firefox), the latest version is 1.7.5

You are right. I do not know why I read "Fire Fox", when it clearly says Mozilla.

Media Player worked in my original version and the newest version too.

POS?

It's an acronym for "Piece Of Sh!*" (If that's what you were wondering.)

Out of curiosity, when does Mozilla feel like it's hanging? When you're pulling data from a site, etc.?

For me, there's a bit of a pause when I select "Tools > Cookie Manager > Manage Stored Cookies", but that's simply because I have a mammoth list of sites which are permanently blocked from placing cookies. Other than that, I run it on two systems with no problems.

Specifics would help. Are you using Mozilla? Or are you using Mozilla Firefox? What OS are you running? What type of PC do you have? CPU type? Clock speed? Memory?

If you are using Mozilla and don't need the mail client included in it, then switch to Firefox 1.0. It is smaller and leaner.

I have a problem with FF that I cannot get ride of. May be some of the Freepers can help me. There is a grey bar about an inch and a half think between my status bar and my task bar towards the bottom of the computer. It runs the entire width of the computer screen. In this space the following is typed: menuitem id ="context-flashAllow" label="&flashAllow.label" For the life of me I cannot get rid of it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times and it keeps coming back. I used the add/remove page in Windows. Is there another way to get rid of this problem. Any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

I have windows XP. HP pavilion 32-Gb hard drive, cable modem. I have Norton anti-virus and Microsoft anti-spyware. I don't have SP2. I don't chat

It was fine a first and now it just locks up sometimes for a couple of seconds.

I am wondering if it is Norton.

It could be Norton. Easy enough to check. Unload Norton for a short test period. I used to have porblems galore with Norton so I dumped it. I've been much happier with AVG Free. It gives free updates and catches stuff that Norton doesn't.

It could also be that you might need to clear your cache to get the browser (Firefox or Big 'Ol Moxilla?) to run a bit quicker.
