Have you down loaded the newest version?

No problems here. Be sure to download Spybot Search and Destroy (find it using a search engine lookng for Spybot. Spybot is shareware). Spybot will help if you have tracking cookies or other software on your PC that is there "to enhance your internet experience", and I've found such software really slows down my PCs.

Specifics would help. Are you using Mozilla? Or are you using Mozilla Firefox? What OS are you running? What type of PC do you have? CPU type? Clock speed? Memory?
If you are using Mozilla and don't need the mail client included in it, then switch to Firefox 1.0. It is smaller and leaner.

I have a problem with FF that I cannot get ride of. May be some of the Freepers can help me. There is a grey bar about an inch and a half think between my status bar and my task bar towards the bottom of the computer. It runs the entire width of the computer screen. In this space the following is typed: menuitem id ="context-flashAllow" label="&flashAllow.label" For the life of me I cannot get rid of it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF several times and it keeps coming back. I used the add/remove page in Windows. Is there another way to get rid of this problem. Any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

I know in my case, sometimes it slows up fast when I get ot a site I can't access or if the Javascript in a site is no good. That's rare. It also slowed up when I was online for a while but I cut the cache from 50,000k (50 megs) down to 20,000k (20 megs) and I licked that problem so far. I'm running a Pentium II, 366 MHz IBM Thinkpad 570 with a 5.58 GB HD and 128 megs of RAM. OS is Windows 98 Second Edition. I'd try the cache reduction. Mozilla says there is an update available but I haven't gotten a "round tuit" yet.
