AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1497) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | February 25, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 02/25/2005 4:31:26 AM PST by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

The Pope's tracheotomy means that, without external aids, he will now be unable to speak.

Canada has refused to join America in building an anti-missile defense shield for the continent. In effect, this surrenders Canadian sovereignity to the United States with respect to their airspace--the chances that America would ignore a missile in flight over Canada is nil, despite protestations from Ottawa that Canada expects to be consulted regarding any violation of their airspace.

The Center for [Junk] Science in the Public Interest said the Federal Government has done little to regulate the amount of salt in food.

And, the Washington Pravda, in their continuing assualt on the Administration, took issue with Sec'y Rice's clothing selection as she visited the American army facility in Wiesbaden. The rag stated: "Rice boldly eschewed the typical fare chosen by powerful American women on the world stage. She was not wearing a bland suit with a loose-fitting skirt and short boxy jacket with a pair of sensible pumps. She did not cloak her power in photogenic hues, a feminine brooch and a non-threatening aesthetic. ... Rice's coat and boots speak of sex and power -- such a volatile combination, and one that in political circles rarely leads to anything but scandal. When looking at the image of Rice in Wiesbaden, the mind searches for ways to put it all into context. It turns to fiction, to caricature. To shadowy daydreams. Dominatrix! It is as though sex and power can only co-exist in a fantasy. When a woman combines them in the real world, stubborn stereotypes have her power devolving into a form that is purely sexual. [Excerpt--full story here]

A good joke! Happy Friday everybody:

George and Laura Bush and Bill and Hilary Clinton are traveling by train to the Super Bowl. At the station George and Laura each buy a ticket and watch as
Bill and Hilary buy just one ticket.

"How are the two of you going to travel on only one ticket?" asks George W, astonished at what he is seeing. "Watch and learn," answers Hilary.

They all board the train. George and Laura take their respective seats but Bill and Hilary cram into a toilet together and close the door. Shortly after the train has departed, the conductor comes around collecting tickets. He knocks on the toilet door and says, "Ticket, please." The door opens just a crack and a single arm emerges with a ticket in hand.. The conductor takes it and moves on.

The Bushes see this happen and agree it was quite a clever
idea, so after the game they decide to try a similar plan on the return trip. When they get to the station they see the Clinton's at the window buying a single ticket for the return trip. To their astonishment, the Clinton's see that the Bushes don't buy any ticket at all.

"Aren't you taking a terrible chance by traveling without a ticket?" says Hilary.

"Live and learn," answers Laura Bush.

When they board the train the Bushes cram themselves into a
toilet and the Clinton's cram into another toilet just down the way. Shortly after the train leaves the station, George W. leaves their toilet and walks over to the Clinton's toilet, knocks on their door and says, "Ticket, please."

And you're still trying to figure out how the Democrats lost that election.

Bwahahahha, indeed!

More about the Zarqawi aide capture: (from captainsquarter blog)

Another Zarqawi Aide Plucked
The Iraqi government announced today that it has captured another key figure in the Ansar al-Islam terror network headed by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Abu Qutaybah had been considered one of the high-value targets in the network due to his extensive contacts throughout western Iraq, and sure enough, Iraqi forces arrested him within miles of the Syrian border:

Iraq's government said on Friday it had captured a key lieutenant of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian militant who is al Qaeda's leader in Iraq and has been behind some of the country's worst attacks.
It said Talib Mikhlif Arsan Walman al-Dulaymi, also known as Abu Qutaybah, was captured on Feb. 20 in Anah, a town northwest of Baghdad, about 35 miles from the Syrian border.

"Abu Qutaybah was responsible for determining who, when and how terrorist network leaders would meet with Zarqawi," the government said in a statement.

"Abu Qutaybah filled the role of key lieutenant for the Zarqawi network arranging safe houses and transportation as well as passing packages and funds to Zarqawi."

This will put a huge dent in cross-border operations for Zarqawi and the terrorist network. It may not mean too much in terms of further captures; the immediate announcement gives the impression that the Iraqis don't have much hope in getting information out of Qutaybah. The continuing damage to the network underscores the intelligence edge that the Iraqis have, however, and Qutaybah represents a major loss, both operationally and strategically as well as politically for Zarqawi. If the Iraqis see a continuous progression of captures like these, the recruitment of foot soldiers for their ranks will inevitably dry up.

This catch will be the key to get Zarqawi....he is the access keeper.

Sparring with 17 year olds...........can see why you're concerned. Good luck to your son!
Our 14 year old son just finished his freshman basketball season. They had a very winning year, I'm pleased to say. Try outs for the school play are coming up soon and that's going to be where he directs his attention next. He wants one of the "supporting actor" roles in the production. Should be a little more relaxing than all those 150-200 mile round trip road games.

Oh yes, the road trips. That's another story. We're lucky to some extent. Houston hosts most of the regional and national qualifiers. Gas was a huge cost last year! Nationals were held in FL.

Congratulations to your son and his basketball team.

Here is a "Friday Funny" for ya'll:

OSAMA & THE GENIE

While trying to escape through Pakistan, Osama Bin Laden found a Bottle on a beach and picked it up.

Suddenly, a female genie rose from the bottle and with a smile said "Master, may I grant you one wish?"

"You ignorant unworthy daughter-of-a-dog! Don't you know who I am? I don't need any common woman giving me anything" barked Bin Laden.

The shocked genie said "Please, I must grant you a wish or I will be returned to that bottle forever."

Osama thought a moment. Then grumbled about the impertinence of the woman, and said "Very well, I want to awaken with three American women in my bed in the morning, so just do it and be off with you !"

The annoyed genie said, "So be it !" and disappeared.

The next morning Bin Laden woke up in bed with Lorena Bobbitt, Tonya Harding, and Hillary Clinton.

His penis was gone, his knees were broken, and he had no health insurance.

God is good.

Big time forgery, tillacum. Freepers have documented at least three forgeries.

I am back from helping my daughter clean in preparation for her move. I feel I have failed her in housekeeping training. Sigh.

On the bright side, my grandson won secnd place in the "Invention Convention" which is the early grade Science Fair. I am very proud, as he did all the work himself, and it was his first year (second grade).

Churchill Art Piece Called Into Question

There's almost 500 posts on this thread that broke last night. The Denver Post and a news channel in CO are running the story, maybe more. FReeper research was going hot and heavy finding even more art duplications of Churchill. Enjoy.

I have a Hillary/health insurance joke, but it isn't appropriate for a family forum.
