Few more hours to go...Just wanted to say thanks for running this thread, you did a great job....BTW Is it 8:00 pm tonight?
thanks!
It's on at 9:00 Pacific time, but because different time zones may do different things, please check your local listing.
I have pre-race jitters!
Showtime! I say Romber wins with an eyelash to spare.
I will be happy with any of the 3 teams winning. They have been fierce competitors.
pre race jitters are over, thank goodness Uchena won
THANKFULLY Romber lost and the true winners won. I was rooting for Uchena and Joyce the whole way. I guess being nice does pay off in the end.
<3 you guys and good luck with your child!
And they deserved to win. I thought they were dead on at least two occasions in the race tonight, especially at the onion stage. They owe their fate to a very kind pilot. It was obvious at the end of the day which team had higher moral bearings. To risk the entire race to pay a cab fare by begging says it all. I guarantee you, team Romber would have screwed the cabbie and head for the finish line without batting an eye if in the same situation. This was another great TAR season. There is no better reality T.V. show going than TAR. I'm ready for next season.
Me too! I felt that same way as you. Paying for the cab truly was first class. I bet that cabbie is going to get a big tip (didn't he write down his address?). That pilot too should be thanked. Anyone know if there will be a follow-up with Joyce and Uchena on CBS?
I think they are supposed to be on CBS's early morning show, no idea of what the name is
I was rooting for Romber but U/J are nice people. What the hey! :)
Not that it was necessarily part of Uchenna and Joyce's motivation, but I think if they stiffed the cab driver, that would have been theft of services and probably could have disqualified them. I assume they're not allowed to break the law to win.
My wife cried when they won. She really liked them and couldn't stand Rob. I thought he was a lot of fun, but I didn't really want him to win. He talked to much shit, and nobody needs to see a happy Red Sox fan. Ever.
I shed a tear too, but because I liked Romber so much and they lost. Bummer to the max. I'm not turning on the bloody tv set again until May 24 for Rob and Amber's wedding.
We definitely need to get a thread going for that one. My husband got me a laptop for Mother's Day (and my birthday). I can now watch TV and be on Free Republic at the same time. Woo Hoo! Can't wait for Rob & Amber's wedding!
Final Order:
1. Uchenna and Joyce
2. Rob and Amber
3. Ron and Kelly
It's been fun! Thanks to everyone for your participation and support.
Anyone know when the next season starts?
If anyone would like to run this thread next season, please FreepMail me, as I'm retiring from the position.
For those who want more of Rob and Amber, their wedding will be on SeeBS May 24. Someone please tell me that I won't be the only one watching.
Exactly, I think the rules are they have to pay all fares. If not, then if I was Joyce and Uchenna I would have been ditching cab fare the whole time...
Congratulations Joyce and Uchenna!!!...you did well. I would find out the name of that pilot and send him a check for 10 grand.
Thanks for doing the thread! Always fun!
Now could one of the FReepers of the female persuasion explain Kelly to this dumb male?
She spent almost the entire race, bad mouthing, dumping on, criticizing and in general making Ron's life a living hell and then goes into a boo-hooing crying jag when he refuses to commit to a lifetime of this abuse. Whats up with that?
Dang, I fell asleep 5 minutes into the show. I had a feeling that Uchenna and Joyce would win. Romber has enough dough, Ron seems like a good guy, Kelly? Unnngh! She's a witch.
I am of the female persuasion and I couldn't understand that one either. And I don't think he got it either. Maybe Hattend was right, maybe she was having a visitor, but the visitor came and stayed. :)
I think that Ron is also a male witch. If he said SHUT UP to her once he said it a million times. Plus I was a little put off by his denseness.
