I see on Doug Weade's website that he pledges to donate proceeds from his book to charity.
He does not name the charity, wouldn't one assume that you would state "I donate it to..." Breast Cancer, ALS, SPCA, Colon Cancer, Battered Women, Prostate Cancer, etc,etc.
Could it be that he is practicing "Charity begins at home"?
Is Mr. Weade soon to be seen driving a new BMW?
I have no probs with him getting a new BMW but don't us this age-old lame ambiguous copout of "Donating proceedes to Charity".
To put my money where my mouth is; I promise to donate all the money garnered from this post to charity, hey my car insurance is due, I might as well join the game :)
When one makes an a$$ out of himself publicly, they may make a PR move to spin it in a more positive fashion. You don't stab your friends in the back for any amount of money.
He is such a dink. First off it was a conscious efort to tape a phone call with someone who was a "friend" and it was also a conscious efort to publish the recordings.
He sounds too much like the kid who got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. "I deeply regret getting caught with my hand in the cookie jar, I promise to give all the cookies I stole to charity."

The democrats are going to go off the deep end when they figure out that Wead is handing the rest of the tapes over to the president.
Perhaps in addition to charitible donations, he ask that Kerry sign the 180. You know, just trying to show the 'real guy' behind the candidate.. nothing political.. nope.. no way..
